I am looking for Close Combat build with ability to have followers. What can you recommend?

I'm not a HtH pro, you may get much better builds from HtH experts:
S - 7, P - 1, E - 10, C - 1, I - 2, A - 10, L - 9
JINXED, BONEHEAD or HEAVY HANDED + BONEHEAD or HEAVY HANDED + JINXED
Adrenaline Rush, Toughness, Even Tougher, Close Combat Master, In Your Face, Stonewall (life giver), life giver, Bonus Rate of Attack
after:
buffout, psycho, nuka cola, beer
S - 10, P - 1, E - 10, C - 2, I - 2 (1 if you take Bonehead), A - 10, L - 9
AP - 10
DR (CA MK II) - 75%
Now, 21 party points is too low to get a companion.
Beer gives +1 CH (therefore 2 CH)
Mentats gives +2 CH (therefore 4 CH)
Mirrored shades gives +1 CH (therefore 5 CH)
Armor +1 CH makes it 6 CH in total
that is 61 Party Points. Raise your Speech to 100% to get additional 30 party points (91) - this will be enough to get 1 companion (70 PP), with 100% speech you are able to get Magnetic Personality perk, which grants another +50PP. Also, if you raise up your speech to 300%, you will have in total:
100 PP from speech, 61 from Charisma, 50 from MP perk = 211 (2 companions and 1 merc)
From my POV this is both - companion & pvp+pve viable build.

Powerpuff, can we still buy the stat implants for 100k in SF after 30 lvl? I wanna try doing
S - 6, P - 1, E - 10, C - 1, I - 4, A - 9, L - 9
then get it to 30 and add the S, P, C, A and L implants.
Also why not one hander instead of jinxed? It's a melee class. It will mostly use the powerfist. Or little jesus in some cases. I played as melee all s2. Rarely used a SS. Or am I missing something?
super pwerfist in the eyes with heavyhanded makes it like about 85-90% kd. I used to kill that 3k hp bot in the military base SE without it ever being able to 1-hex me. Not a good way of killing it, btw. Takes a bunch of time and ammo. but can be veru helpful when there's a friend with pancor+emp shells. It's also not too difficult to fight like against 3 deathclaws at the same time in only CA mk1.

Hi,
- implants are not available.
- onehander has two benefits - 20% accuracy and +5flat dmg, however +5flat dmg is being applied only for ranged1-handed weps. MPF is not a ranged weapon.
- jinxed is handy if you're wielding little jesus or Louisville slugger coz they won't break.
- I also offered non-jinxed combo - bonehead is great against snipers and heavy handed, as you described.

oh, no implants even in dungeons? that sucks. It was a lot more fun when we could just buy implants. Well, I think so.
yeah, looks like what you suggest is what I chose for the first, non-implanted melee.

Good in 1vs1 PvP, pretty abusive mechanics, can be taken down with ease if there is a big open field of view between the target.
No AoE, unlike burster, so bad for farming, medicore in PvE in general. Aimed attacks to the eyes with slugger are a thing but do not make it up in the big picture.
But "brrrrrrrrr" 24/7 is eventually the main reason I'm bored of the game AF, so having a melee alt sitting around in your repertoir doesn't hurt in any case.
(Clear minigun/burst meta with few inbetween, matching it.)

Very true. The range burst meta now is just so boring. One-Hexing was the only saving grace when it came to big guns, because it required hella skill. But now its whoever can spam click faster.

Honestly though I'm still having fun with the new quests and telltales. At first I criticized the Devs for making it too... Story-ish, but its not too bad.

It's not too bad, that's why we have 15 players left here. The other 5 are bots, probably.
