so since it has been totally engineered can someone shed some light on how it works now?

Armor Class modifies the chance for a particular character to be hit by an attack. The defender's AC is directly subtracted from the attacker's chance to hit.
Armor Class is no longer working only when running.
Armor Class = (3 * Agility) + Livewire + armor

thx a lot. So if i got 80 armor class and the enemy's chance to hit is 90, he only gets 10%?

Right. But only usefull for PvE. In PvP your Enemys have a higher weapon skill. That means you can compansate a 80 AC.
