We already have a thread where players can suggest new faction names to be added to the game, but over time that list gets clogged up with stupid names nobody ever uses (or likely ever will), so this thread is meant to be a list of faction names already in the list, but that are just making the list longer for no worthy reason.
I suggest the following names be removed. If you see a name you like though, say so. If a name does not appear in my list, it means it's a name that I guess is okay. Preferences vary, but I'm sure we'd all prefer a shorter list of better quality over a long list of so many names we know we'll never use:

These are some faction names that seem to be below grade, never seem to get used, and make the list longer for no apparent worthy reason. I know we have some creative people in this group, so surely we can think of better names. Meanwhile, this list needs to be cleaned up every once in a while. Has that ever happened?

Yeah even so, people prefer cool names. We can get rid of some, and add better ones.

I heard the The Kokoweef Yeah Yeahs are pretty cool. Also WestSide Roughboys are not on the list -1 .

base holding Salvation Army
non of those are Lore friendly

I will definitely remove this annoying feature and let people decide their own faction names but... when I realized that there will be much more worse names... better not do that.
Maybe reorganize faction names and change most of them to more lore friendly?

Also some of the faction names are too long. Try to type it when buying a first base, and some names won't fit.

Adding new faction names is easier than removing old ones. To add you have to make another pid number for them and if you want to remove some names then... Then you must rework all fotext.msg file. Forget about it.

is it impossible to write a code that immidiately adds a line for a new faction name to fotext.msg remaker? it surely would come in handy.

It's even possible to write code for dynamic faction names adding.
For now there's a tool for quick adding faction names - Gang Names - written by some polish developer.
