HK G11E uses the smg animation instead of rifle.
It might also use one-handed weapon mechanics.

You are right about this, but still SMG animations fit better for G11 than rifle animations.

It's same as it was in Fallout 2. I think it should stay this way because of animation speed. This weapon will be changed in the future, but I don't know details yet, need to ask players.
