Changelog 02/10/2013
Barter Ground reworked:
- Added an FLC agent,
- Added a parking lot for all types of vehicles and Vertibird,
- Lockpick disabled inside the location.
Important:
- Lockpicked cars can be easily stolen from there, so use only cars with locks.
- Cars that are left there by their owners might get removed, so remember to take them out of there when you've finished trading.

Great news in general, too bad the mechanic is lockpick disable, all of my cars (and the Verti) are lockpicked for the convenience.
Is there no other way of solving that?

More than one experienced person has volunteered to help. But even aside from that, everyone is aware that Kilgore and Cubik have jobs and lives outside of the internet. No one is faulting them for not having enough time to get stuff done; all we want is a bit more transparency here. The game seems to be a risk of going into a period like TLAMK2 had, where there was no status updates EVER and there was a real update once a month, if you were lucky.

Anyway, I'll make an update when it's ready and it's not ready yet. As you can guess I'm kinda busy recently. Also I'm planning more than few changes... also some that require some testing from my side before updating. That's why it takes so long.
I've seen quite a number of capable players who've offered development ship or even just offering you various improvements from time to time. Even if it was just on a test basis for handing a couple improvements your way and seeing if they work or not.
I for one have been working on some script improvements for various let us say "Abusable" aspects of the game.
I was looking into making some actual anti dual-logging protection for players who've recently died in TC towns (which is an aspect of the game that is entirely based on reporting and taking up kilgore's time at the moment) and dynamic vendor prices for items that have abusable vendor prices so that background price changes (also taking up kilgore's time) aren't required and players would naturally be encouraged to not spam sell a single type of easily crafted item. As well as some minor updates to hex throwing and fixboys when i get a chance.
Wasn't planning on handing them over until they were good and finished to see if you liked them, but i did submit some code snippets to cubik that fixed some huge mathematical and logical errors in the 2238 combat.fos script. (Players would be horrified to know what bad math and logic errors did to Damage Resistance and Finesse in the background , oh god it was terrifying). Not to mention those item ground icon replacements i was working on and just waiting to see how they came out before doing more.
You get a clear line of communication with willing players and let them ask you if ideas they have need doing, and you'll get things every patch you wouldn't have even thought of. Its a buggy game and lots of aspects could definitely use improvement.

Have caves been nerfed? Ive nticed a HUGE loot decrease in the past week. Most are empty or have only 1 item

Last time I found the smallest cave with 12 DeathClawes and Turbo Plasma :) Maybe I'm just lucky ;)

Loot from caves stays untouched since the launch.
There will be an update today, it should address some issues. Changelog will be posted later, I'm working on it.

yeah, nice. good day for update, since this week i work 14-22... all night playing! :D

Unfortunately, I'll update the server not today, but tomorrow. I'm kinda out of time and there are some changes that I need to test a bit first.
Update will include:
Changes in weapons and armors:
- improvements of unique weapons,
- added new types of ammo for shotguns,
- damage and range of shotguns boosted,
- resistances vs laser for helmets decreased in order to improve aimed shots from Energy Weapons,
- improved Bozar, changed LSW to single shot/short burst weapon.
Changes affecting economy:
- private mines cost more and generate resources for one week (but now, all visitors will remember the location),
- blueprints removed from traders, available now at certain NPCs via dialogue options (expensive),
- changed prices of various items,
- changed bank interest rate,
- increased rewards for caravans.
Changes in skills:
- disabled sneak in Combat and Metal Armors,
- 2nd active slot will also count towards penalty from carrying a heavy weapon or rifle,
- added an option for installing locks on lockpicked vehicles.
Other changes:
- added water pipes and landing zones for Vertibird in bases, tents and safehouses (wherever they were missing),
- adjusted Town Control windows,
- bugfixes in drop/pick all hotkeys, using OOC when knocked out/dead.
and also other minor changes.

I accept constructive criticism, try to ignore trolls, remove them when they get too annoying (sometimes they can't simply accept it - see: tomowolf)
That took a month
Not really, just a day (+today for testing and adding more stuff). If I worked on it all the time, this would probably the perfect game!!!!111 but the reality is that I can do it only in my free time.

Maybe you could introduce new blueprints- for Combat Armor MkII and Combat Helmet MkII for example :P
I think it won't be too OP, anyway very hard to get this resources- or maybe Gatling Laser BP ( from HQ Electronic Parts) ;)
That would upgrade the game- I my opinion of course :)
I also think it would not be bad...give to game new bp like combat armor 2...it would be good recovery this server

If you craft using those materials (for example HQ fibers for CA) you automaticly get Unique item?

My idea with crafting combat set mark II is better for me :) but that's interesting too.
Now you can't use them because there is no blueprint which needs it.

Insta-unique seems op...maybe additional stats that are normally not craftable, such as range or mag size, or an increased, say 3.5x, chance of a boost?
