Title: Give grenades damage modifiers.

While all ammo types from guns have damage modifiers, grenades do not. That's one of the causes for the uselessness of grenades. Not something like 2/1 but instead 5/7. Otherwise, giving a penetrate perk is flat out useless because that will only give it a +5-10 damage at maximum.

Grenades are useless now because of too low damage. They could enrich PvP if were stronger (but not too strong).

The Heave Ho! perks will be merged into one after the wipe so grenadier builds will have 1 more perk to choose.
With Fast Shot, 2x BRD, MRD and Living Anatomy you get a decent damage output against groups.

I'd suggest to make the Demolition Expert perk work with grenades though.

Like Pyromaniac perk effect fire based weapons, Demolition Expert would effect explosives (Grenades, Dynamite and Plastic Explosives)

It's a support perk. As for dymanite and c4 then - no.

Again, throwing knives get no love.
Little offtopic. I like them, but you need a special build to use them properly which is weaker than a typical sneaker/sniper build anyway. So it's pretty pointless. If you want it for some fun it's better to invest some skill points into your sniper. :D

It's a support perk.

And grenadiers are a support role.
They'd still be weaker than other pvp builds and only worth playing in a team.
Also throwing weapons don't have crafting bonuses, so it's perfectly fair, in my opinion.

By saying it's a support perk I mean that you don't need a specialized build to take it. I'm cool with buffed grenadies for everyone, but c4 is already strong enough. Including bonus to it in the perk would just buff c4. That's why I said no for that part.

Demolition Expert already increase damage for C4 and Dynamite, what I did mean was that it should also effect grenades. No need buff C4 or Dynamite.

i could see a -ap or extended range, critical chance or accuracy modifier on a crafted grenade.
being a crafter myself, i would have to build a shit load of grenades to get a pile with the special modifiers that folks would want to buy.
just my 2 cents of jaw flapping.

Nope. C4 has a great meaning in bigger PvP fights (it can prevent your 5-player group from being just rushed and smashed by 8-player group).
Nope. Sneak grenadiers are (well, were) a cool support for grouped enemies.

if you cant rush enemies position due to some c4 that may lay on the ground.. just throw some c4 by yourself in that direction at deactivate the enemies' c4.. Oo where is the problem?

I have a thrower build I goof off with. It's a guilty pleasure build for sure, pretty much useless, but fun as hell.

I do know a handful of players over the years that preferred knife throwers as well, so it's not like a change here would only appeal to me. It'll never be a viable PvP weapon, but that doesn't mean it should be ignored IMO.

As far as on-topic, I would probably use grenades more if they were more viable as a secondary. I like the suggestion.

C_heiter, the reason we don't have crafting bonus on throwing weapons like grenades is because they stack. If you had even one -AP/+min/+max nade, all others added to your inventory would stack into that. This is why the ghoul "fruit" couldn't be fixed once upon a time.

I'm not 100% sure how the weapon bonus works with items, but I'm pretty sure they would have the same issue as I described above. They would have to be a seperate item entirely.

Personally I use grenades and Molotov on my Jinx char to knock people down when they run away from me... (because of the lack of range with melee ._.;)So they have that use.. But I see were your coming from.

In FOnline, grenades aren't ammo but weapons, just like spears and throwing knives, so they don't have modifiers. They will get few useful features after the update/wipe.
