Implement lock replacement on vehicles

hello!
i'd like developers to implement this feature (subj).
when i lose my key (steal the car) i'd like to have an option to replace the lock and move on.

what would you say? is this real?

there was something in past,
when you lost your key you had to lockpick your car and craft small lock,
after it (if I remember correctly) you had to put your lock in to your hand and lockpic your car again, so you can generate new lock with new key. but i dont know if this is still in game

There is a lock, which you can buy at any trader. Don't know if it has any use in game.
