Yeah, you should never carry all your items on the wasteland. You could die at any time.

You should get tent, and put other items you don't use to there.

I rushed a safehouse, so I didn't have all my items equipped, but still some loses have been made. Well, thanks for fast response, in future I'm gonna be more cautious on random encounters.

Also for safe travel, you should spend some skill points on Outdoorsman skill.
