Toxic Caves / Everything Disapeared

Hi so i'm relatively new to the game, and i played for quite a while last saturday and i couldn't play until today. When i logged in today everything was gone, all my items in my hand and inventory and worst of all my tent disapeared. I figured someone probably found the the tent when i was distracted or something, but i though it would kill to look it up in the forums anyways.

So is there any bug that could cause that, or more likely i just messed up somewhere? If there's a bug my character was called Hawker.
