Really don't know, cause I never sell anything to new guys for caps. Rather junk, chemical components, cigs etc.
500 for full CLJ set isnt that bad I think.

250caps from 1 box lifting
there is the shoveling
and there are also some early quest stat give small amount of caps
Ofc i will accept stuff from the adventurers.
