Is there really extra damage with upgraded weapons?

This is what I'm curious about if they really do extra damage.

hard to tell since burst can do low or high damage

anyone can find out?

They are working and are calculated at the beginning of final damage calculations:

It's:
damage min = weapon min dmg + bonus dmg (BRDs) + craft bonus min dmg
damage max = weapon max dmg + bonus dmg (BRDs) + craft bonus max dmg
than
base damage = random (damage min,  damage max)
and after this base value is lowered by resists and ammo mods.

Generally a little more damage, but not so that you'd "really" notice unless you were looking for it.
