Upgrading laser pistol [solved]

The wiki page says that the laser pistol is possible to upgrade too magneto. That's great! No need to create a whole gun out of scratch when it only needs a modification.

However, no matter how much I searched I couldn't find out for the life of me how to upgrade a laser too magneto. Got Energy Expert, learned how to make magneto from scratch, but upgrading the laser pistol too magneto, a gun that is basically magneto without the magnetic targeting system wasn't included.
Am I missing something? Anyone know how to upgrade the laser too magneto?

The standard laser pistol cannot be upgraded at all. The Magneto is an upgraded version of it, is all.
