Title: Got a new Job suggestion?
Post by: Corosive on February 03, 2015, 01:36:37 am
Got any ideas for any new jobs? A Job basically implies a repeatable quest with or without a cool down. So it could be anything at all, from selling drugs to collecting random items, to shoveling shit or unloading crates. So if you've got a good idea let us know! A good job should make players feel like they're a part of the world, since you are after all, just another wastelander. We want you to feel like a wastelander. We want you doing wastelander things.

Here's a list of the current jobs: http://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/index.php?title=Jobs (http://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/index.php?title=Jobs)

Got any ideas of your own? Post away!

EDIT: I removed my original ideas. It's time. For the record, I read your posts. I might not always comment, but you will be surprised what I've done with them.

Blowing a mutie. Do it, get 10¤. Fuck it up, he'll kill you by hitting you in the head.
Ya, I got a few issues.

10 bucks? To manhandle all that green? I think my character is worth more than a few caps. Make it 250 and not a penny more! I'm not that good.

Corosive, hello. Do we know you? Are you a developer really? Why have you been so quiet?

Anyway, yes, i always thought Water Merchants in Hub should play some part in a job or quest. Wasteland would be dry so moving water around would make a good job.

The Job
So you use water bags or bottles. You get the job from someone in the Water Merchants area of Hub (which is otherwise not used). They send you on your way and it's always random where you have to go but it's always to a known public location, mostly other towns. You have to fill up as many water containers as you can carry before you go. Recipients give you a receipt (use the note item image, same one from the Industrial Park message quest). You get paid on return when you hand over the receipt, based on distance and volume of water transported. Good job for a group.

Options
If you get a firetruck, whoah-baby look out. You can move a ton of water with that thing so you could maybe make a lot of caps. Or sign up to guard the Water Merchants' own water caravan, which would run in similar fashion to the regular caravans.

Bonus
Also, along the way to deliver the water, they also want you to stop at some farms and repair some broken wells or water pumps. These farm locations could be unique, single-instance quest locations generated just for this job. You get there and you need someone with decent Repair skill to get the extra xp, but often find trouble; random hostile critters to fight (ants, rats, mantii, raiders, deathclaws, etc).

Very interesting! Delivering water across the wastes! Good reason to buy a caravan cart, eh?

For the record I was one of the lower level dialog writers for 2238, I was really busy at the time so I wasn't very active. But I'm back, and writing for the reloaded guys. I joined sometime late December, 2014, been working on quests, new jobs, the new intro, rewrites, whatever. I'm not a programmer or dev, just their dialog monkey and idea machine. My goal is to revamp Fonline and fill up all the blank spots in the world. I play this game and want to get back to it, but it needs much, much more. I also fucking love the Fallout series and receive sexual pleasure coding for this game. I won't spoil the next session, but before I even joined the reloaded team I had coded over a dozen quests for Junktown, just for the hell of it (which will be included in the next session)

Wow that is great news (except the perverted part) and i hope i can help more soon. The way you describe filling up the blank spots captures my thoughts exactly.

Question: when you say "over a dozen quests for Junktown", do you mean delivery quests or quests with unique map locations? I have been saying for a long time regarding PvE content, that we need to add tons more unique map quest locations, but the mapping process seems sooooo sloooooow. If i could solve that problem, i would likely shift from player to mapper/quest-maker.

Re: Water Merchants

You could reuse tent on the wastes farmhouse. Just drop a broken water pump in. Critters? Might make for some interesting effects, rescuing the farmhouse family. Kill the critters, fix the pump, talk to the family, boom. Set and ready.
Title: Re: Got a new Job suggestion?
Post by: Corosive on February 03, 2015, 04:35:13 am
The one's I made for Junktown are simple Fallout 1 inspired quests for players to do within the town. They're mostly atmospheric fetch quests that fill up the empty buildings, or add dialogs to the basic npcs, such as a single father looking for an antidote for his son (you can get an antidote by doing the docs quest) or a man looking for a dozen packs of smokes. But I added a few new jobs relating to both hunting and crafting. Oh and a new npc in Gizmo's casino :) Junktown should be a lot more interesting now, walking around will actually discover new quests. But that's just a small percentage of the new content.

Go here -> Kill critters -> Save family -> Fix Well

now that sounds like a repeatable job! 75 Repair req'd or a tool.

Miss Kitty and her magazines (Similar job to "Selling Spears" (http://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/index.php?title=Selling_Spears) and "Selling Junk to Trisha" jobs)

Very simple job, find Cat's Paw magazines and give them to Miss Kitty who lives in New Reno.

Rewards:

10xp and 50 caps for each magazine.

Ratch's nightmare (That guy in NCR who smell bad, near Vortis Holding Center and Rawhide Saloon)

Talk to Mira, and ask about the smell around Rawhide Saloon. It seem like Ratch is the cause and residents don't like smell either and are going take law in their own hands!

Talk with Ratch, and tell about problem. You both going think for solution:

[First option: Good]

Ratch want you to talk with a hermit (You can find them in random encounters near New Reno) and ask, can Ratch continue his training to become hermit even after taking bath.

Hermit will not accept Ratch's idea, but if you can offer something for hermit he will accept. You need give him new knife (Combat Knife) and healing powders.

Talk again with Ratch and tell what hermit told to you. After that Ratch is going to bath, and residents not complain anymore.

Rewards: ?

[Second option: Bad]

You will go talk with Mira again, she is going to recruit you with some residents and attack against hermit community + Ratch. Kill Ratch and other hermits, and talk with Mira for reward.

Rewards: ?

very clever, your rewards are minuscule though lol. 10xp ? 50 caps? for heading to reno with cats paws? very low, but a good fetch quest. I'll probably write one similar to this and put it in the hub!

For the NCR smelly man quest, you might see this in game one day :P

I've lost most of my ideas, because I couldn't think anything for rewards. I'm just not good with those.

Don't worry about the rewards, that's all game play balance which is very difficult to master. Let the balance guys and critical table guys figure out the numbers, just worry about the ideas.

How about letting the NCR have slave runs too?

Random Chance of Rangers attacking you of course, and unlimited tries.

There's no reason for a timer when the loot sucks.

Don't forget it was based on Henry's idea......

Morton Gang: Talk to the Redding Sheriff. Ask him for a job.
He'll send to to kill a Morton. Doesn't want the bastard alive- NO NO NO! You face off against the equivelent of an FO2 Morton gang. Their camp/base/whatever appears temporarily until either you kill them all or time runs out.
LOW xp and average loot to justify making it repeatable.
You could spice it up with different types of bases, like ab putpist one time, a bumnker another, a shack another time, a depot some other time, etc. Maybe rotate through all of them?

I like this a lot actually. It's... perfect.

EDIT:

Anybody who gives a positive suggestion that helps get new content into the game will find a little easter egg if I wrote it :) I'll contact you and we'll brainstorm. Just keep in mind that it has to fit in with the atmosphere. IE. Npc name could be "Henry", or have a back story of your liking "He's an ex-raider who turned into an iguana salesmen"

Maybe quests connected to dungeons?

For example quest chain from BoS:
1) Scout area around The Glow. One of the guards outside of BoS bunker asks you to go to The Glow and scout the area around it. You would have to go through all adjacent squares to The Glow on WM. Then come back to the BoS.
2) Readings from your PipBoy are very weird. You need to go inside The Glow on level 1 and download data from computer there.
3) "Just as I thought, the situation is bad, blah blah blah, we need more data". You need to venture deep into The Glow and collect data from the computers on each level. Few deepest levels of the dungeon are locked. After collecting data you need to go back to BoS.
4) It turns out there is something evil in the deepest levels of The Glow. Brotherhood of Steel managed to recreate special Pass Key that unlocks lower levels. You need to venture inside The Glow one last time and kill whatever is inside (some super-duper boss). After you kill the boss, go back to BoS for final reward.

Similar stuff could be done for Ares Rocket silo, Mariposa Military Base or any future dungeons. Those quest doesn't have to be in quest chain. There could be few small quests that gives you one more reason to go inside dungeons...

Fix water source (Miniquest in various towns)

Requirements: A tool (75% repair skill, if you want fix water source without a tool)
Mission: Fix water source (Waterpump or a well) with your skill or with help of tool.

Heal the weakened (Job in various towns, many different NPCs and animals to heal)

Requirements: 75% First Aid and 75% Doctor skills (Some patients need First Aid and some Doctor skill)
Mission: Heal the weakened people or animals (Only one or two "marked" NPCs or animals at once, new patients will come as time pass)

I wish there would be actual jobs for doctors.

Group Combat Assistance
Some group is about to launch some assaults on some Raider camps (maybe 5 locations). You get involved as the guy whose Pip-Boy has the locations. You go to the Raider camp, call in the group with a radio, they show up and you all fight. Go to next one, repeat. You get paid based on kills and group members left alive.

Groups: BoS, Hub Patrol, NCR Army, Junktown Scouts, etc

(Calling the rest of the group would not be via a distress signal. You just call them on a random 5-digit channel they give you and they find you via their secret triangulation methods. This should minimize PK disruptions.)

Locations: can use existing large random encounter maps but populate them with Raiders, add a tent and some raider standards/flags, and give new spawn point in lower right corner behind some rocks.

Repeatable as you get more locations. Pip-Boy gets updated with new locations as you find certain "wanderer NPCs" in random encounters. Then you go talk to the group commander again about launching another assault campaign.

Fetch quests are far easier, but they don't add much explorable PvE content to the game. For that, we need new quest maps. Mapping is slow though. Corosive, please check out my idea, let it simmer for 20 minutes on medium, and post a reply:

LOL! I cant speak for Henry.......
But I'll PM you for mine. >:)

OH!
"HELP the muties."
If you approach THE GATE GUARD at the missile silo without crossing a magic line (maybe just stand still?) he'll ask you for XY or Z (resources, materials, something). He'll give you a few caps for it (SLIGHTLY more than what you could have gotten elsewhere). The exact item/s requested are random, and you MIGHT get the same thing over and over again.
Or maybe not.

Remember it's still an active PvP zone, and mission or no, cross the line and he'll shoot first and not even remember to ask a question.
Actually, scratch that- after he shoots you, a floating text appears: "Wasnt there something I was supposed to ask? Oh well, its not important."

I`m looking for a good Quest with story and dialogs, so if You aren`t scared PM me with Your work.

Why you double topics when DEVELOPER already have created special for ALL QUESTS RELATED IDEAS. Write there if you have idea donnot repeat suggestions about adding new jobs, do it and send to developers.

Actually, Corosive writes a lot (I mean, A LOT) of new quests, jobs and dialogues for the game, and he's asking you for IDEAS, so he can write more stuff, while DocAn asks you about ready-to-use (more or less) work.

What if Mom in the Den set up her orphanage? I am thinking it could be part of the Den or a location outside of The Den.

I hate running into slavers with kids. I don't want to have to kill the kids. What if there was a option for none slavers to save the kids and escort them to Mom's orphanage? Could do it for money, supplies, or just good karma.

Talk to Mom, she tells you about the orphanage. You meet the people running it and deal with them.

Could also have a side option of taking the kids to the NCR rangers in Shady Sands.

The orphanage could be protected by a couple NCR rangers with some Merc help. If you have Loner or full amount of companions, one can still escort the kid. If you become a slaver you lose this ability to escort kids. Could also be another place to learn "Light Step."

Opens the door for other quests such as "can you find my child?!" I am looking to adopt a child type quests.

Any adult slaves that you didn't attack could also be allowed to just run off. I am not a fan of killing them either.

I agree with Styles. i hate the fact that the only way to make auto-use of private mines is with slaves. Why not just workers? Why must they be slaves specifically?

Styles, making an orphanage map using the church tiles is on my list to do someday but as always i need more time and practice with the mapper. (I wish you'd try it.)

Enclave/BoS/NCR Ranger soldier service.

Playing for Enclave:
- While farming NCR Rangers or BoS patrols, pick their Dog Tags and bring them to Chris in Navarro

Reward the player with somekind of karma points, caps and stuff. (Karma would only change the dialog options and give the player some special permissions in Navarro and some special stuff, so if he resets his Karma, he will reset all his priveleges).

10 - Ranger Dog Tags => 2000 caps, weapon the player gonna chose
10 - BoS Dog Tags => 4000 caps, randomly imporved  weapon the player gonna chose

50 - Ranger Dog Tags => 10 000 caps, enclave armor set, weapon
50 - BoS Dog Tags => 20 000 caps, superior encalve armor set, superior weapon

100 - Ranger Dog Tags => 50 000 caps, superior encalve armor set, gauss pistol, 100 2mm EC
100 - BoS Dog Tags => 75 000 caps , advanced enclave armor set, gauss rifle, 200 2mm EC

250 - Ranger Dog Tags => 75 000 caps, advanced enclave armor set, bozar
250 - BoS Dog Tags => 100 000 caps, unique encalve armor set, vindicator minigun, 300 4.7 caseless

500 - Ranger Dog Tags => 150 000 caps, x2 unique enclave armor sets, bozar, vindicator minigun + 500 caseless
500 - BoS Dog Tags => 250 000 caps, x5 unique encalve armor sets, bozar, vindicator minigun, gauss rifel + 750 of each ammo

1000 - Ranger Dog Tags => 300 000 caps Advanced Power Armor set, corvega, an Enclave Soldier companion (if karma reseted the companion automatically leaves)
1000 - BoS Dog Tags => 500 000 caps, Advanced Power Armor set, Vertibird, an Enclave Soldier Companion (if karma reseted the companion automatically leaves)

Workers instead of slaves would be great. 100,000k for the mines and another 10k or so for a worker. Max of two workers. Workers should count as companions. The workers leave after you buy a new mine, unless you pay them again.

As for the the map maker. I have tried a couple of times to get it working. But with no luck. I have read everything there is I believe to be read on the subject on these forums. Sooner or later I might be able to get an old friend to help get it working.

+1 I love it! It would bring some nice grind to the game. Grind has been missing for far too long now. By the time you killed 1000 BoS dudes, you deserve a good reward like that. This is a great idea.

It's just an Idea lol. I dunno, make it somehow possible, that those who always farm and go beyond 250 kills, get always visible on the map because of an automatic flare when they are in encounter. You can always spawn inside and kill em all. Otherways with the Taylorism craft system you made, I can always stay in my base get a shitload of exp and gear and I won't have to farm (what I'm actually never doing).

Farming 1000 BoS it's kinda long and boring (as for me). And farming 1000 more for another APA, bitch please, I'll better go kill some players and loot the same shit. Bacause those as you said who don't do anything but kill BoS all day and wear APA. won't be a big deal for PvP experienced players. At least I played a lot of time with regular gear against high tier weapons and armors and won these fights, so your argument is weak, sorry.

You have to join the faction in order to get these rewards, you have to maintain your karma, even if you do a second alt to join enclave and farm the shit, you need time for it. I don't talk about those hardcores which are playing 24/7, they aren't that many anyway, and one or another day they will lose the stuff they earned.  There are still on this server players, that will rather make rare stuff carpets than to use it in PvP.

In original Fallout 2 you could find Enclave soldier bodies all around the Mariposa Military Base. As far as I can remember, they had an excavation team, that was looking for FEV. They hired miners from Redding to dig through debris. Later the miners mutated and became super mutants. They murdered Enclave soldiers...

So you could make some quest chain thet portraits those events. Hiring and collecting miners from Redding, travelling to Mariposa, guarding the miners, collecting FEV samples, defending agains mutated miners, and falling back from Mariposa.
It could happen on cloned Mariposa location, which would be instanced (visible only for the ones who took  the quest).

Similar thing could be done for Hubologists and Ares Rocket Silo. In Fallout 2 the Hubologists were preparing to launch a missle/shuttle into space... So you would need to collect some data from the Ares location considering rocket propulsion etc.

I like the general concept of being able to turn in dog tags for rewards. But lets keep it from passing like Pancor/Sniper/Avenger/Laser/CA MKII/Ranger CA level. 10 for a gun, 25 for the armor.

IRL you can't kill 1000000 Insurgents and be gifted a tactical jet. But maybe some unofficial kick backs for being badass. Kickbacks that don't go beyond what the person giving you as to offer.

IRL you can't survive a mauser eyeshot, and if you do, a simple doctor skill wouldn't give your eye's initial shape and function.
This was just an example, you can ofc change all these rewards omg...

Recovery Job:
A caravan has an overdue twam. The route was fixed, but only two maps exist. The caravan owner has one, master has the other.
Your job: Find the caravan. You'll get the map (a line [blue? green? yellow?] temporarily forms on wm) to follow. Just follow that line and you WILL find the caravan- or what's left of it.
The cow is still alive, but the crew is dead/dying. Eh, say a half-dozen raiders, medium-grade weaps. Defeat them, you can take the caravan back. You'll face all the usual problems of a brahmin cart, but IF you succeed you'll be handsomely rewarded- 10 times the usual fee, +100 local rep, and 1,000XP. Recover at least crewman alive, and you'll be protected from random encos with PLAYERS (but not critters).
Steal the contents, and the local guards will shoot on site- No excuses needed.

Rescue the Caravan workers from the Cannibals.

A worker escaped and told his boss that there is a group of Cannibals in the area that have taken out a caravan. It's up to you to help free them. But they aren't normal cannibals.

1. Caravan guard missions should be redone. They should look like on FO2 - it's perfect there.
2. Make other "guard missions", that would look almost exactly as the caravan missions. For example Scout area with BoS patrol. You would take some route around BoS bunker and Mariposa base. Or take a patrol with the NCR Army (it would have some other route)
3. All those "guard missions" would have different difficulity. The harder they get, the better the rewards are:
easy - caravan guard (with no special "hooded assholes" encounters with 500hp)
medium - NCR Army Patrol and some caravan missions (with harder, unique encounters)
hard - BoS Patrol (with hard unique encos)
Hardcore - ??? (with super hard unique encos)

Right now the caravans are either too easy or WAAAY too damn hard. They look like a damn russian roulette.

New Caravan job for new players. Create a small caravan outfit in the Hub. I am thinking it could be a new company, like "Two Guys and a Brahmin Caravan and Co."

New players can go to them. They don't have enough money to pay for good help. You have no weapons, no armour, no problem. They will give you leather armour and a hunting rifle. It could be based on your skill. Such as "what are you best at." So energy would get a laser pistol, Big Guns a flamer, Small guns a hunting rifle, Unarmed a power fist and the ammo to go with it. (weapons optional but low level). A stimpak and a nuka-cola and when the job is done 50 caps or so.

The guys will only take you to Junk Town maybe NCR. I am thinking only low level enemies can be encountered, ants, rats, and such.

Once you get to X level you can no longer go with this caravan. Something about "you're to good to be with the likes of us" or "We don't trust people who are that good."

Raider jobs like
-raid (or lead a raid) on a caravan
-murder jobs

Enclave

"Wet Work."
Faction X has hired you to take out Faction Y's leader(s). They don't care HOW you do it- just get it done.
Each job isnt reoeatable but if you wait long enough for your villified status to come back up to hated you can take their faction's job- so the leader of the bos hires you to whack the leader of the enclave, a month later the leader of the enckave hires you to whack the leader of the bos!
(Kinda based on Last Man Standing, fwiw.)

I am thinking some of the doctors in the Wasteland could have a side job as a dentist. Some things a dentists need is gold for fillings.

So some of (or all the doctors) could ask you for gold nuggets. But something that could be more interesting would be gold teeth. It's already an item from Fallout 2, Gold Tooth. Maybe there is a chance to find a gold tooth or two on raiders, slavers or maybe just claim jumpers. (Could have it so you need to have a knife in your inventory to get them) Collect the gold nuggets or teeth and cash them in.

Maybe Gold Teeth can be colored in like the special vault suit makes a person smile.
And maybe Gold Teeth could be gotten by giving Nuggets to a dentist.

Upon death the Golden Teeth are dropped?
Title: Re: Got a new Job suggestion?

Gold Teeth dropped when players die? Would have to get another one put in when you respawn or people would just kill their alts over and over again.

Other jobs: Condoms (Jimmy Hats) for Mrs. Kitty. She want's her girls to be safe. If you bring her X amount she will let you have a go for free!

Cat's Paw Magazines for Chris at Navarro (or another characters) because it gets lonely being on guard duty.

Motion Scanners and Radiation detectors I would imagine would be in great demand for scavengers.

Oil Cans, Tool Kits, wrenches for T-Ray and or Todd and any other character with mechanic skills.

Water Bags and Bottles for Caravan Masters/Guards.

A lot of characters could ask if you have smokes or a lighter.

Kids could ask for Nuka-Cola. Could give it for free or ask for caps which they may or may not have.

Jet obviously for get heads. I am thinking options could be A) Give it to them for free but that gets you in shit with drug deals in the area. B) Ask for X amount of caps which they may or may not have. C) Give it to them for sexual favor. D) Offer them other drugs such as Buffout with A, B, C also part of that option.

Flares for various groups in the Wasteland. As in Rangers will ask to buy Yellow. Brotherhood, White and so on.

First Aid kits for the Followers. First Aid Books for the Followers.

Redding has a Mad Brahmin problem. A local brahmin farmer has a herd of brahmin that has came down with a disease that makes them very hostile.    They need to be put down. But there is a catch... they got into one of Dan McGrew's powder stashes and have consumed much of it. The farmer tried to deal with them himself but found they explode when he used a flamer.

Not sure if this is something the player could do over and over again but if someone likes the idea, feel free to use it and write dialogue.

Wall of text ahead :)
Dunno if someone mention these.

I got an idea but dunno if it is doable.
I was thinking of smth like this.   Lets take BoS and Enclave , because they are strongest factions in the game and they are totally opposite.   Was thinking that each of these 2 factions have a job that u can do 1 per week in real life. That job would be to sabotage or eliminate units of the opposing faction. For finishing quest you would get reputation , exp and "marks" as reward. As your reputations i going up with 1 its going down for other.  The point except rep and exp reward are "marks". I was thinking is it possible to implement a system like that.  Getting marks each week for finishing quest that isnt easy at all. Now for these marks you could change them for gear at the faction u took quest(job) with.  For example  , u get 10 marks per finished job.  For 10 marks u can get 500 micro fusion cells or 500 small cells or u can choose Laser Rifle or Plasma Rifle, Or Laser and Plasma pistol or Gatling Laser. For 30 marks u can get 1000mc , or 1000 cm . You can get Laser Rifle (ext. cap)  or Turbo Plasma Rifle. For 50 marks you could get 2000mc or 2000sc , or Any of those weapons but advanced. 80 marks same ammo , but you can get any of those weapons but unique. 100 marks = Power Armor. Ofcourse these numbers would need tweeking but you get the idea.

This mark system could be implemented if it i possible for all opposing factions , and they would giving different rewards , as stimpaks, super stimpaks , drugs , armors , weapons...

Building a map for Desert Hunter , Bounty Hunters , Mutant Remanants.  Where you could work for them with different quest corresponding with their story. I would put marks there to.

Queest from gun runners to kill muties for box is great quest and we need more like those.  There was Mercenary camp in original fallout that kind of map is good to for quest like these.  With few cave lvls  , traps and mobs.

Playing cards for Hermits and Lone Wanderers. After all a Hermit's favorite game would be Solitaire.

We come across a Hermit and if we have a deck of playing cards in our inventory they will ask if we wouldn't mind selling it to them.

Playing cards could be obtained at New Reno, Redding or both.

Post by: Petrolz on March 08, 2015, 10:13:10 am
Ok some of these can be used as quest or just a job.

I ll start will Junktown , here are few ideas.

1. I would use this one as quest.
Quest name : Easy Task
Quest giver : Andrew prison guard in Junktown.
Description(smth like this): When u talk to him , he ll seem disturbed , then you ll ask him is everything ok . He ll look suspicious and check you out and then say smth like can u help me for a moment i got an easy task for you. You ll accept or decline. He ll ask u if u can guard the jail for a few seconds , because he needs yo pee rly bad or to take a dump.  Now here u can ask him is there anyone in jail , no one is coming for him or smth. He ll say its ok there no one in there just stay in fron of the jail till i come back. Of course he lied. And as u stand u are approached but few thugs that enter in dialog with u asking u to move and give them keys or die. U look confused , dont know whats happening and u have options to stand ground or escape as a baby. :D

2.Job
Job giver : Hernandez gambler in Junktown
He asks you for your help , to lend him some money , hes addicted to gamble he sure he found a way to win this time , because he discovered how system works. He promises that when he wins he ll give u bonus from your money. If u give him money , there some chance lets say 25% or 35% that he actually wins. Then u ll get double caps u invested and u ll get some exp. If he loses then nothing u lost your investment  :D

3.Job
Job giver:Andrew prison guard in junktown.
The guy is fucking hungry he cant leave his post till his shift is over , and he got a criminal inside so he needs to be present every second and he asks you to bring him some food and water , but the thing is he only like food from NCR iguana sellers place , he usually buy enough food for months but it run over earlier than he hoped. And he needs water to you can fill up that thing u make from brahim skin. :D

4. Job
Job giver: Lars , head of guards in junktown.
The security at south gate is weak and they are having some problems in the evening with some thugs(raiders) what ever. He ask you if u can be stationed there at the door and help them out if something happens. Job is to stand at the gate for few hours in game time. There a chance for an encounter 30% or more , encounter would consist of some raiders or gun powder gang trying to get inside junktown. And you would help defending it. If there was no encounter then u finished your job by standing there exact time.

5. Quest
Quest name : Kidnapping
Quest giver : Lars  , head of guards in junktown.
Description: One girl was kidnapped last night by some raiders while she was taking care of brahims in stables near junktown. They are low on guard so they cant go and check for trails atm . so they ask you to go and investigate. As u take quest u ll be shown new map location some small stables with brahims, theyre you ll see some blood and torn black jacket that raiders wear and small paper giving u the location of the raiders that took the girl. She seems to be able to make that paper in all the fuss. Paper will show u next location that u need to go , There you ll see guy with some guards  , in dialog u learn that he actually buys people as slaves and then send me further where they ll work or be hookers or smth. U then torture him for informations , u learn who gave him the girl where they left , and also where he sent the girl. So you discover 2 locations you can go save the girl kill her captors and then go kill raiders that kidnapped her.

6.Job
Job giver : Marcelles = owns crash house.
Some punks are int he room , they are late with the rent , they are dirty and lound they dont want to leave the room , and the guards are too busy to do anything about it , they told he she needs to find a way to reason with them. So she ask you to actually reason with them and get them out. As you enter the room ( would make this different every time you do it) , first time u can find some junkies , next some , mercs , drunk soldiers... Anyway u can reason with them with speach , you can give them money to leave , or u can force them to leave them or u ll engage in combat and kill them or be killed :D

7.Quest
Quest giver : Marcelles
I would implement the same quest as in original fallout http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Rescue_Sinthia tho change rewards alil bit . Its great quest and has good dialoge.

8. Quest
Quest name: Dangerous fugitive
Quest giver : Lars head guard or Mayor.
Description : Some dangerous guy that was in cell until ncr police  come for him and take him to the ncr prison. He escaped in the meanwhile and he is dangerous , last time they captured him he took out few guards and because they are low on guards and its risky they cant spend any resources or people to find him and bring him to justice.  So they ask you to bring him to justice , eventually kill him because he is too big of a problem. This guys is accused of rape , murder , robbery. They ll tell you information of his last out post where they caught him . You ll go there to check it for informations and trails. The place was swiped clean , theres nothing that can lead you to him.  You go back to quest giver and inform him , he ll tell u that new informations came and that some worker saw him near quarry. You go to quarry talk with workers to see which one got the info about him. When u pay off one of them he ll tell you that he went to hide in the mountains and he ll give out the location. When you find him you ll see him with few guards. He ll offer you money to let him escape and some drugs( if he finds you strong) , you can let him escape for free because he told u sad story how he didnt do anything. Or you ll bring him to justice and kill him. If u are weak low lvl he ll auto att you when u enter his zone saying : Who the fuck are you? Get him boys , he ll make a fine slave.

If u like concept of these i can make more for other town.

The Water Merchants need chemical component to keep their water supply clean. They direct you to an old water treatment plant.

The Gun Runners need high quality alloys and metal. You can give it to them for pay, or give it to them for free but get good karma.

Maybe there could be a power plant in the hub that the Water Merchants control. It runs on steam. The steam comes from burning wood. So you are asked to go collect wood for them.

Lots of people want to play craps, but don't have dice. If you come across dice, they will pay good money for them.

Id like to Go back to Water Merchants for a sec... As you said, It would be neat to have a reason for caravan carts.
Perhaps it is possible to group caravan carts somehow.. Make your own caravan per say.. each player has a cart filled with water tho i cant think of a good reason for this as it seems the trunks are quite big enough on one..

Perhaps instead of just a couple water bags or water bottles (Which could be an Option) You can pick from a list..
take 20 down to tobacco farm
take 50 to salvagers in boneyard
take 100 up to newreno.. (cart required) etc...

Also Low Level Caravan Runs. Turnbased. I really think this would be a great thing for noobs, To explore the map, meet other players, learn the game, etc.. Caravans are awesome! But only really enjoyed by those prepared for them.
I dont want to see Caravans Nerfed or go Turnbased. But having a low level Caravan route for say lvl 1-12 or sumthing, turnbased. ( I heard Cassidy Caravans is an up and comer...  ;) )

(All food items are okay for dogs)

Rustle the brahmin

"Evil" version of this job (http://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/index.php?title=Brahmin_Run_for_Martin)

Take care of brahmin guards in located farm, after you killed all the guards brahmin herd start following you. Drop the herd for NPC who gave you the job.

Vic the trader

Vic need you to collect his items from Vault City, talk with harry in his shop and get box. Return to Klamath and give box to Vic.

Some ghouls have stolen something very valuable from the Children of the Cathedral. Maybe a tape from the Master Himself. His manifesto or something.

So you ask around. You get some hints that whoever took it is no longer in Necropolis. You get hints that they could have gone North. Hinting at Gecko. But other hints suggest they went south. You ask around and learn whoever took it went to a cave outside of The Glow.

You go to the caves close to The Glow. So high radiation. You encounter Endless Walkers, Glowing Ones and ghoul snipers. You battle it out and get back the lost item for the CotC.

A repeatable quest for Necropolis. The ghouls of the Water Shed love Gamma Gulp Beer but don't have a steady supply of it. Go to Gecko and bring them back as much as you can. Roentgen Rum is also preferable.

The CotC would like robes and ammo (to be determined).

Edit: BB guns for kids.

WAR.
Each NPC faction has declared war on each other faction. You are a (for their purposes at least) a mercenary. You can receive any equipment normal to the faction (you can’t get power armor from the Rangers, etc.), any kind of drug, etc.
Once they have enough volunteers (or reach a time schedule), they’ll send you all to a place (not the target’s main base), where you will fight against NPC (and PC’s for the other faction, if there are any) for control of the site; it might be a mine, it might be an abandoned military base, it might be a lot of things.
If you die in the fighting, you can potentially race to the recruiter and maybe go back in time to return to the fight.
You have to be alive at the end of the battle to get money (pay varies by faction), and you get XP in the normal course of action (all your skills “could” be used here), but the biggie: you get rep for the faction you fight for, and don’t loose rep with the enemies (you’re “just another fucking merc beatbag”), so you could actually fight for all sides. (But, you don’t get rep for any factions at the same rate you would have if you were a member, say 10% of normal? And maybe with some sort of cap, like 500?).

The only factions that don’t declare war are NCR/Rangers. “most” of the rangers missions will be to hunt down slavers, though if you keep going back enough times you could actually go on the final assault- right into (a cloned) Den, where all the prositutes and other vagrants will join the fight, along with Metzger’s men, since he knew this was coming. If you join Metzger, you’ll be hunting down rangers, but if you stay long enough he’ll send you to (a cloned) NCR itself, where you’ll fight NCR Army, police, and the rangers.
Gear Issue: When you die, all your gear stays on the battlefield. When the battle is over, you loose all gear. No looting. Sorry.

It could also work like a caravan maybe; you go to the recruiter, offer to fight for “uuuhhhh… which faction are you again?” and on some time schedual, you go to fight (but in that case you’d have to bring the npc’s down).

Somebody mentioned the NCR dog tags; might I suggest having a raider based turn in system for them?

ex. Vandal, a female raider says her lover was executed by ncr / killed in a caravan raid and now wants to start a dog tag collection? Reward could be rep, xp, caps, or ammo.

ex. dialogue:

Player: Who are you?

Vandal: "People call me Vandal, alright? And before you open your dumb mouth and get your pretty little self killed, don't ask me any more stupid fucking questions."

Player: What's your problem?
Player: Geez, you're a bitch. I'm leaving. [Walk away]

Vandal: "The goddamn NCR, that's my problem. On our last raid, my Johnny boy got a bullet in the head. [A slight pained expression washes over her face, before she looks you over] Hey, you look like you can handle yourself. Maybe you could do me a favour.

Player: What's that?
Player: No thanks. Goodbye. [End Conversation]

Vandal: I need you to kill as many NCR rangers as you can, preferably slow, but that's up to you. For every tag you bring me I'll throw you some caps, and I know the whole gang would respect anyone crazy enough to go head to head with rangers.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quest 2: Crashed Vertibird

This would be an enclave quest, npc says one of their vertibirds went down, needs you to travel to the site and retrieve a quest item from the wreckage.

I can see this being a problem though considering you'd have to make a map for it, unless you could just use the Klamath one.

Regardless there has to be a potential for "retrieve the holodisk or briefcase" missions from corpses or wreckages.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quest 3: "Ya gotta shoot em in the head"

Human NPC complains about monsters (mutants) or zombies (ghouls), asks player to kill some.

I guess, realistically, having the option to kill mutants or ghouls would allow both lower and higher level characters to repeat this quest.

Raider Leader wants the Trophy (http://fallout.gamepedia.com/Trophy_of_recognition)

Sometime back the NCR had a shooting competition and invited anyone to participate. The Raider Leader (Name here) decided to show off his skills and secretly joined the tournament. He humiliated the best snipers of the NCR. But he didn't win and he feels it's because the Rangers figured out who he was and changed the scores. He should have won and he wants that trophy! Your job is to travel to an NCR outpost where the trophy is kept and get it back. Killing the Rangers could be problematic. If you kill them you will have to kill them all. Leave no witnesses. Or you can avoid all that and steal the trophy.

FvF hunting.....
So you're just another wastelander, trying to make a living.....
Faction A hates Faction B. Why? WHO GIVES A FLYING?
WITHOUT JOINING A, they can give you a task; Kill as many B's as you can. We'll pay you for it.......
The amount paid should vary based on difficulty; clearly an enclave is harder to kill than a Ranger, a Ranger is harder to kill than a slaver, etc. No dog tags or other such trophies. It just jams things up.
It might increase your rep with A, but only like any other barter. You dont get 100 rep with slavers by killing 10 Rangers, you get ten. (Or vice versa.)

Shit Shoveling at the Stables.

"See, we start experimenting with the brahmin shit as fertilizer for the shrooms, except get this; then, we noticed the slaves working fertilizer vats were getting high from the fumes…" -Myron.

There is such a high concentration of Brahmin Shit at the Stables that people get too high from the fumes produced. So (whoever is in charge) wants volunteers. If you are willing to shovel shit for him you will be rewarded. Or you can offer your slaves to shovel shit for them. So an option for slaves "I want you to shovel shit" could be added. Only good for the Stables.

The catch is that after X amount of time you have some ill effects. You could even pass out. I am thinking you wake up (with all your stuff) in a location outside of the stables if you pass out. If you try to come back right after you get "I think you need some more time to recover."

Slaves however could just die. Up to you guys. Could have it so you have to go in and use first aid or a super stimpak to heal them so you can get them out. But you have to hurry.

Once you are in the Stables Shit areas you will be protected by the Stable guards. If you just go in on your own you will not and Ill effects still apply but maybe you die if you stay to long.

Once you leave you can ask to keep X % of the shit you got. The Guard will say "Math you must be High!" and let you keep it. That's right I said "Math."

Edit: To keep enough shit that lots of people can do this at once. Add more Brahmin and another quest.

To make sure the Brahmin keep up a good supply of shit needed for Jet. The keepers feed them a special laxative. In order to make that laxative they need chemicals. So you can supply them with chemicals. This could be a quest of it's own if the main idea takes to much advanced coding to do. So yeah a small go fetch quest would be to supply chems to the Stables.

Edit Edit: Not really a quest idea on it's own but... With so much Brahmin shit in the area comes a ton of Methane gas. If you light up a smoke, a flare or used a flame based weapon... you burst into flames. The guards aren't allowed to smoke because of all the methane. But that doesn't stop them from wanting smokes to feed their nicotine addiction. The ones inside the building at least. This could also be a chance to have chewing tobacco. As in "we can't smoke up we can chew it" so bring them tobacco plant.

Could have guards say "No Smoking" so people know not to do it.

Rebuild The Shuttle:
The Hubologists wanna rebuild their shuttle. Take a job getting oarts, once every few game days (same sched as Ant Hill and Dog Pack).
They will ask you for:
100 Booze (to make "fuel");
50 Good Metal Parts/Alloys;
40 Electronic Parts/20 Fibers (Hubologists are weird ok?); or
100 wood (for their wood gassifier gennies).

Which they ask for is random. You might just be un/lucky enough they keep asking for the same fucking thing each time. Pay is commensurate to what you should get from scavs or others who'd ussually pay for the same stuff.

Help Enighten The Wastes!
Bring Father Tully or any of the other socialists, uh, I mean social crusaders 10 Cat's Paws or 100 booze, they give you cash.

Help The Sex Workers International Movement!
Bring Mz. Kitty 10 Cat's Paws, she gives you a reward. (Actually an F2 ripoff.)

Help The Masses End Their Suffering!
Bring Nicole 10 books, any type. Cash.

Help End The Suffering Of Knowledge!
Bring a specific NPC 10 books so he can burn them, get cash (loose karma with the Followers).

Kill The Ghouls.
Necropolis and Gecko have a problem: Wild Ghouls. Their attacks on smoothskins are drawing unwanted attention to the cities. They know of a camp; Get in there, kill the "rebels," get cash and karma. (Ripoff of Rail Line quest or dog killing job, but a bit harder since there's more of them.)

Kill The Raiders:
XYZ city has identified a raider camp. Go in there, kill them all, collect a bounty. (Kind of a Frog Morton/LA dog hybrid.) The camp will be not more than three grids away.

The Other White Meat:

Some people have developed an appetite for their fellow man but don't have the means to feed that appetite without abandoning civilization for life in a cave.

For this quest you have to be a slaver. You come across a man in New California Republic, it's mine and or train station. He notices you are a slaver. He asks you to come to him. In talking to him he offers to buy your slaves. Some options would be to think it is a trap. Or you can agree. If you agree he gives you a map to a tent. You go to that tent. A simple tent any player would have. There will be a couple people. You complete the deal and hand over your slaves. Where they are then shot and killed. You can ask why they bought slaves to just kill them. They will tell you the reason... they will be eaten.

After some conversation they could offer you a chance to try it. If you like it you can then have mini quests. Deliver "The Other White Meat" to fellow cannibals all over the wasteland. Could have some interesting people who turn out to be cannibals.

If you give them a child slave you get the Child Killer Perk.

You can do this quest over and over as in selling your slaves to the cannibals. With a time restriction as to avoid suspicion from the law. Every couple of in game days it will be okay to make another deal.

Could even have an addiction to human meat, one that takes a very long time to go away.

Harmless could also be a requirement. You can't sell ghouls to them. Different prices for different slaves.

In f1 there was sn npc who'd say "pssst.......c'mere" until you talked to him. For a price he'd make arrangements for your into to the towns drug dealer. You could crib that coding for Other White Meat.

For when the slaves are killed, the coding from when we first encounter Frank and the Enclave Guards in Fallout 2 can be used (I think) as in you agree to give them over. You get the money and then you can't move, the cannibal guards open fire on the slaves and they die fast. Then you can continue the dialogue.

Some other things that could be added would be cannibals in the Wasteland could have "strange meat" on them. If you are a cannibal it will be called "human meat" and if you don't it could be called "strange meat." Cannibals in the wasteland could be "wild cannibals."

Anyways some more minor go fetch quests.

Kids like to play with rocks right? So why not be able to give/sell rocks to kids? Other items would be BBs and BB guns. Baseball bats.

And everyone's favorite toy! LOG!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2C7mNr5WMjA

Maybe only for some of the slower kids out there but it would still be funny, at least to me. To see some kids singing the "Log Song."

Hmm Cutscenes are problematic. Since I don't know how to make them, and our beloved Wipe has encountered problems in the past. If anything, those would come last. But you're onto something Styles.

Cannibalism, human meat, selling kids... Hmm.

Mr. Kitty wants you to pick up a shipment of medical supplies. Such as condoms, antibiotics and so on. It will be in a briefcase like the Gun Runners. She sends you to Vault City, San Francisco and or the Followers. One of the three. You pick it up and drop it off to her.

Sex Dolls those who can't get get with the ladies. Ghouls, Super Mutants, Jet Heads and so on. Maybe Mr. Kitty will buy them from you for such customers.

If you have very low Charisma she could have some dialogue about not wanting you to be with her girls.

Chemicals for the Salvatores. They have a big buyer for the chemcials and they need huge amounts, so much so they will even buy from a low level nobody thug like you.

Oxygen tanks for Louis Salvatore. They could be items found in the wasteland, such as in wasteland foot lockers or a quest item, as in "go to (town here) and pick up Oxygen tanks.

Fruit and wood for the Wright Family. But don't tell Ethyl what it's really for. Other items could be books.

Selling Female Slaves to the Mordino family.

Go get heart pills for Lil' Jesus Mordino and don't ask who it is for if you know what is good for you!

Deliver a package to the NCR Police Chief for Mr. Bishop. A little something to butter up the law of NCR and get them thinking of vacationing in Reno.

I know New Reno is a big PvP location and this could be a bad suggestion, even if it could be done because it will piss off PvP people... But what about making the insides of the Casinos, Cats Paws and so on none PvP areas. And as you do quests for them you can build good rep and thus gain some protection from that faction. Such as if you are in the Wright's area and have 800+ rep with them anyone who attacks you will be attacked by the Wrights.  :-\

I don't spend much time in Reno but I am guessing anyone can be killed by anyone anywhere in the place.

Its useless if the quest area arent reworked. Quests in unguarded towns are pretty much on the bottom of the quest list to do by new playerz. Hell, its often hard to get pack rat or strong back being blue only because of the pk camping grids just to shoot anyone who spawnz there. Of course, at the moment its quite easy, since not many playerz around, but the new ideas are meant for server with at least 2x players than today.

Me got plenty of gunrunnerz packagez meant to be delivered to reno by playerz.

  • Talk to the guard; keep him distracted long enough for them to get in.
  • Use a tool on a spot. If you do it, they fenceline will come down and they can get in.
  • Take out a specific guard. They actually don't care how.
  • Leave an expolsive (they can provide) at a spot. It may or may not kill anyone. It's supposed to distract the guards.

If I recall correctly the inside of casinos are already non PvP zones because they take your guns away. I like the quests where new players can stock up on crafting mats like chemicals though because then the PvP players can buy them or have the noobs craft finished goods from them and buy those. Its better all around. Pvpers can get superstims etc easier and noobs get paid with good gear or caps.

I tried it out at the Desperado and your weapons are taken when you enter and returned when you leave. So that's good. But not the Cats Paw.

If there is no reputation to be gained by the various factions of New Reno that is something that could be changed. Treat it like the gun runners, after gaining very high good reputation, you will get some protection from the faction you are helping. Such as if you are outside of the Desperado and you have 800+ rep with them and you are attacked, the Guards will have your back. And like the Gun Runners, the rep goes down over time.

2 problems with this. First off, many times when I go into reno somebody on my team has super negative rep and so the casino guards and civilians attack them on sight and do very little damage and are easily and quickly killed. Second is that if they were buffed then what is to stop some pvper from getting good rep with all the casinos and then when PvP happens in reno lots of powerful guards come and kill the other team. So I think this is a bad idea. Protection inside casino is enough. Going into reno should be a gamble right? It is a city of gambling after all. So solution is not to make the town protected but to simply use caution when you enter. Either scout it out or bring some good players to defend you. Game will be more interesting that way.

New Reno could still use some quests even if it isn't safe for new players.

San Francisco fishermen need rope and or fibers for their nets.

The Hubologists are always looking for new members, willing or not. Sell slaves to them particularly the attractive ones. No ghouls.

Lo Pan needs you to pick up a package from Renesco.

The Brotherhood need you to deliver a package to Lost Hills, San Francisco, The Den and the NCR. You will be paid upon delivery.

Chris from Navarro wants you to deliver a package to the Salvatores.

Other than suviving in NR long enough to talk to Renesco and inserting an actve npc in Hell to take the ropes, these should be pretty easy.... the "hard" (?) part is slaves for the Hubologists, which you'd have to be able to get (only slavers can caprute and buy slaves from Metzger, so unless that changes.....)

People should have more than one person out there to sell slaves to. Becoming a slaver and buying slaves (as in one of the only people a player can buy slaves) would still be Metzger's thing. What he doesn't know can't hurt him right?

I enjoyed the first time I came cross the Enclave going through that dialogue about what type of Advanced PA I wanted. So that got me thinking about joke quests.

As in a kid asks you to find his father, the only thing he can tell you is that he is middle aged. So you go around asking if you have seen a "middle aged man."

Another would be a woman asking you to do some research. She asks you to get highly irradiated and if possible crippled, the more crippled the better. When you return she will laugh at you.

On a normal Sunday morning while he was on his farm a group of slavers took his wife and children, and they beaten him near death. But he survived and made it his mission to exterminate those responsible.. At that day he lost all contact with his family. So now he gives you a mission to find his wife and child and exterminate all slavers. Going from the bottom(collecting ears, beating slavers for information, investigating till you get to the top slavers(officers)... And then the master slaver( some dude in a big map(mansion) surrounded by 100 female slaves and 200 guards XD)) :D Will the mighty waste lander find his wife and child or die trying. I once suggested we cut the heads of slavers as proof since an ear can't tell us who it came from. The forehead would have a tattoo an thus we can say for sure that the person was a slaver. But the idea didn't sell with the admins. But if not head I would go with the ear as well.

Zain would, normal worker. He was honest his whole life till one event changed his life. Will he answer the riddle of steal and the question : "What is the meaning of life?'' See in the next episode of : "I don't know what am I saying." .  :D
You were ALMOST on a roll.......

One way or another...just pls add something for TB guys like me :D
It can be even such a funny event like this killing slavers...and maybe hunting raiders/ bandits ?
It must not be very profitable, just maybe 25/50 per ear or something. Just more things like this or like brahmin hendersman job that you can TB.
I suck a little bit on RT so caravans without best gear are too hard and too tiring (makes me tired, Im not sure if  I spell it right) for me.
I will even pay for that wipe :P

I suck on RT, so cutting ears from bandits, raiders and slavers in encounters would be done in TB too.
The only job I can do in TB is herdesman job as brahmins guard...but its short and not worth doing.
This would be nice quest/job for a guys like me, and for RT in the same time too  ;)

Somewhat complicated idea but here it is anyways.

Working for the Railroad:

It could be a new location or added to the existing NCR mine.

The New California Republic is working on a new rail line and in order to build it they need large amounts of High Quality Metal. They only have access to one mine that has High Quality Ore. The problem they have is the air purifier system for the mine was completely destroyed by a Powder Ganger rebellion. The air in the mine is toxic and the NCR has no means to fix the air system. New California Republic miners refuse to work in the mine and they have the backing of powerful members of the government. Needless to say that there is some wiggle room. With High Quality metal being in such high demand... the government allows volunteers to work in the mine as long as they agree to the risks.

The mine as stated is toxic just like in Fallout 2 with the Broken Hills mine. The deeper in the mine you go the worse it is. There could even be ants or centipedes in there. I am thinking ants moved into the mine, have little ant hills in there. They could even have poison. Not sure what would happen if you die, I am thinking you get "rescued" and as a result you lose whatever you mined but get to keep everything else.

The deal with the mine is that you have to give over 50% of whatever you mined to the NCR, including High Quality Minerals. As you leave the mine it is automatically taken from you. Rounded up I guess, so if you only mine three ore, two go to the NCR.

I am thinking there could even be a time delay on it. As in you are told to come back in a day or so to recover. But to make it even more complicated... there could be a doc close by that if you pay X amount of money will okay you to go back in. If you are healthy he will charge little, if not you have to bribe him which means more money.

Also have a Super Sledge requirement as well. You can also sell High Quality Metal to the guys from other sources as part of a mini quest.
Weapons other than the Super Sledge is a no go but it is up to you guys.

I know this is complicated but it seems to me the programming is already there in the game, the toxic gas stuff from Broken Hills. Having 50% of your mined stuff taken would be the weapons taking program from New Reno and there are already a number of mines already made.

I like the basic premise, but maybe IF you can get to the air purifier you can fix it, and thus it's no longer toxic..... so you can mine without "as" much help from the doc.... but if you fix the purifier the ants regen after X time (based on BH mine).....
It could also be it's own regen point- You regen right outside the mine, with your gear maybe (though dropping it where you fell makes more sense), so you could go back in a little more quickly......

What about a world var that controls how much resources were mined for a specific individual? Once that reaches X amount and you've contributed at least X amount, you get a reward? Like a team effort quest where you'll need either 10 people working their assess off or just 100 people doing the quest a couple of times.

I wonder if that would be fun? It would encourage teams to work together and what not. I dunno. Feedback please.

A team effort as in "you need X amount of people to do this quest." I am not for that. If it is "we need you to mine X amount for us and we will do X for you..." then sure.

The idea for the mine is for new players to have access to a mine with HQ stuff. With just enough downsides so they don't come dependent on it and not enough to replace buying your own mine or going to one of the unprotected mines.

Mine quests would "we need you to mine for us." They take half or rounded up. And selling metal parts and ore to them from other sources.

More like when the total value of resources reached is X all players being involved with the quest will get the reward. Making it a random team thing. Once x quest has been completed 125 times in total by anyone , you unlock -> secret.

Chosen One...why ?
you broke my heart....

Okay, guys...what do you say for some new map, smth like scavengers from LA, but different and new small faction of outsiders, scavengers, mechanics and others near V15, to be honest south east from V15 near town ruins. They will have 3 new armors with special bonuses for crafters and scavengers. One for light scavengers-sneakers, one for their hunters, and one metal for defenders of their camp. They will have 2-3 quests for now. Interested ? I need some feedback from you if you guys want me to start that little project inside F.Reloaded.
If Kilgore and rest say yes I would give them 2-3 new guns:
- revolver, but more powerful and slower than our magnum
- brand new pistol on .45 ammo
-and maybe nice grenade launcher with six/eight shot chamber but with lower dmg and range than M79 with alternative brand new Napalm Grenades/ EMP grenades and some nice plasma granades as alternative ammo.
Of course it will be some low/middle tier gear.
Give me your opinion about it, and some time if you want me to work.

How about if you provide X amount of High Quality Ore to the mine boss... he will provide you with a gas mask http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Gas_mask. If you lose it and ask for another he will say something like "hey man those things aren't easy to come by you know. If you want another one you need to give us "X amount of Ore."  It could degrade over time in the mine.

Another part to "Working for the Railroad" or "Working on the Railroad." The NCR needs a lot of lumber for the project.

Some other ideas:

Shampoo http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Bottle_of_shampoo. It could be a somewhat rare item. Some of the more wealthy characters in the game would love for you to find them shampoo. Washing their hair with home made stuff just isn't the same. Could buy it from the barbers in the game.

I suggested this idea before but barbers could also act as dentists. In real life barbers used to cut hair, do dentistry and minor operations. So if you bring them gold, they can give you a gold tooth. They can also try to heal you, with a chance that they will do more harm then good. Minor quests for them would be to provide them with first aid kits, bio med gel, broc flower and xander root.

Tattoo guys could use alcohol and bio med gels as to provide some sanitation. "I don't have the money right now." And he will ask you for such items in exchange.

Marijuana could be added. Why? Why not. Use the Tobacco plant and I think the EPA has stuff that can be used. Mini quests involved with that... The Hubologists really enjoy it and would like you to bring you some. Slavers also find it helps settle the slave down, keeps them mellow.

Porn star;
Basically re-use the old F2 Golden Globes job, but add a cool down timer.
Fluff ten times, you can make a video. But after you loose half your hp and/or get irradiated. Fluffing=2 hour cool down. Video=2 day cool down.

FIND The Mine.
You're hired to find an old mine. It's in a grid area, just keep dumpster diving the area 'till you find it. Clear it of critters, find the map, deliver it, and collect your HANDSOME reward. Very LOW xp.

Hmm, I think it's safe to say this -> The Porn Star Career should be an epic dialog puzzle chain quest, involving you abusing your body in order to make pornography. The more damage you do to yourself, and the more degrading things you perform, should get you a higher score. If you get higher than X amount of score, you've successfully become a Porn STAR. Anything in between X and X, gets you a neutral score. Anything lower, you fail.

Banging that trio of super mutants without a condom on, should get you a damn fine reward. Especially if they treat you like a piece of meat, and tear your butt hole apart.

I'm just saying... this might be fun wouldn't it?

Doctor Schreber will make you your every own Robot Dog! But first he needs you to do something for him. He needs a lot of Jet, rope and a Super Cattle Prod for an experiment. Oh and dogs.

In order for him to make you your very own robot dog. You will need a Dog, Bio Med Gel and a robot motivator. As well as 1000 cap. Where can one find a robot motivator? I am thinking  after killing a robot it has a chance of having one in it's inventory. Could have it so if you use an EMP weapon the device will be damaged and no good. Sort of like how blowing up a brahmin will result in no hide.

He will also buy dogs from you.

A quest for such a location would be to deliver a package to the Gun Runners. After all the Gun Runners have to get their raw material from somewhere right? It could also work towards getting good karma for the Gun Runners as well.

I didn't think about it...but maybe?
That would be 3rd or 4th quest in there.
I was trying to focus on them like a "quiet closed" group of people, but why not.
Still, it's in very pre-alpha and I'm still fighting with mapper.
It will be 2-3 location of a camp-town. One special location near their home with repeatable quest just like ant-nest in SF, but you know...no ants, but bandits...I don't say nothing more for now  ;)
And another quest with "little" dungeon near them, for bunch of new players or one-two older warriors from our community. Still, I'm wondering if try to make it repeatable too...It shouldn't be something new in this world, something like bring me something from that cave/base/vault/etc. Give me a hint if it would be better to make it repeatable. Maybe I'll give them some quest-like I propose earlier with look for X gang in encounter, and bring their heads/ears.
Anyway, my new little town will bring some new guns as I said. 7-8 shots pistol on .45 ammo, brand new revolver...something like a S&W, rifle AP consume and very powerfull, but with worse penetration, and I will try to put some new greanade ammo for six-eight chamber grenade luncher. I would like to add to their arsenal some new semi rifle. Anyway, as I said...it's gonna be long way, and hard for me.
It can even take me 3-6 months cause I'm gonna add 3 new armor with them, new BPs for every single thing I mentioned in my post too. 3 new armor = 2 new gender animations and x3 for man with bald, long hair, and short hair model. Just be patient and let me know if that what I'm doing is okay in your eyes :)
I'll be glad to see a feedback from you guys  ;D

Joke Quest: A man in Redding offers you the deal of a life time! Your very own Gold Mine.

You come across an old man with a gold tooth and nice clothing with hot young women next to him. You ask him how he got to be so rich. You buy him and his ladies a drink and offer smokes. He brings you in close and tells you his secret. He was out in the desert one day looking for his dog when he came across an old mine. Luck would have it that it was full of gold! He owns the deed to it. He offers to sell it to you for the low price of 60,000 caps. He explains that he is getting to old to spend his days in a mine. He wants to retire and enjoy life and his money.

You buy the deed and he gives you a map. You are set for life! Going into the mine you encounter gold color ore. But soon discover that it is fool's gold! The whole mine is nothing but fool’s gold. You have been cheated!

Now I am thinking if you have high intelligence and speech and some of the perks that go with it. You have a chance to get your money back. What you need is an elegant suit and at least 20 real gold nuggets. Go back to the man and thank him for selling you the deed. You show him the Gold. He will soon explain that retirement isn't all that it is cracked up to be and asks if he can buy the deed back for the amount he sold it to you for.

I am thinking that if you have high barter and Salesman Perk... you can ask for 10% more then what you bought the mine for  8)

The prices and such I leave up to you. Having the deed on you could be a requirement to sell it back but you could just write up a new one.

Option: But be warned if you reject his offer to buy back the mine and you return to it... You will encounter heavily armed men. If they kill you you will lose the location of the mine. If you kill them the deal is off and you are stuck with a mine full of fools gold. Details I leave up to you.

Removing traps from some area could make a good repeatable job. The higher your traps skill, the quicker you disarm (bear?) traps around some house, forest or locker. Obvious focus on Traps skill.

quest giver gives you worthless stuff to dismantle and requests a # of parts from the dismantling process. You dismantle near-broken junk given to you by the QG until you get enough parts to return. once you have finally managed to acquire enough parts from the dismantled garbage, you get rewarded. Focuses on your science skill but can be done if it's low as well, will just take longer.

Some dildo baggins has stolen something from Quest Giver, you must steal it back OR kill the thief and return it OR ask nicely. After some time another random guy will steal again, so the quest repeats itself. Focus on Speech, Guns or Steal. Target should be hard to kill but he should not kill you.

Quest giver asks you to heal his clumsy grandpa who keeps getting into trouble. grandpa is wounded and injured. use First Aid or stimpaks on him and the doctor skill. If you only heal wounds and don't treat injury, you get half of the possible reward. After some time, grandpa will go out and get hurt again.

Ugh... Styles. Your ideas are very good! You should seriously consider learning to learn, haha! I'll teach you everything you need to know!

It's not that I don't want to learn it's that I don't have time to dedicate to it right now. Real life is getting in the way.

Another suggestion:

You come across a man/women standing in front of a table with three cups. S/he asks you if you want to play a game. The game is simple. S/he will place a ball on the table and cover it with one of the three cups. S/he will then move the cups around, if you pick the cup with the ball under it you win.

I know this sounds like gambling but I think it can be done with dialogue.

"Want to play a game?" "Yes/No" "Follow the ball" "Is it under cup 1, 2 or 3? Take your pick" "That's easy the ball is under cup: 1, 2 or 3."

Now the trick might be to come up with a code so there can be a 33.33333% chance of winning. That might take some work...

But who said there has to be a winner  ;)

You pay 100 caps to play but no matter which cup you pick you lose. If you ask to see under all the cups the person can do slight of hand put the ball under some other cup.

If somehow a system could be made so there can be a chance to win... then have a mix of honest and dishonest people. Honest ones would only ask you to play for low amounts like 20 caps.

Bring My Boy Home:

You come across a man and his wife in NCR, the ranch area. They are very upset. Their son left home to meet a girl in New Reno over a year ago and hasn’t heard a word from him since. They ask you to go to Reno and find him. They have a message for him. You take the message and head to Reno.

You ask around but no one seems to remember him. After asking around a lot someone gives you a name. It is one of Miss Kitty's girls. You pay Miss Kitty so you can party with the girl that was named. You get into the room and ask her about the young man. She breaks down crying. She tells you that he came to Reno to save her, that they fell in love. She tells you that they managed get half way to NCR before they were stopped by some of Mordinos' men. The two were brought back to Reno. She ended up back in the Cat’s Paw and never saw him again, but she does know he was brought back to Reno alive.

So from there you ask around the Desperado. Little Jesus remembers the guy and tells you what happened to him. Big Jesus had him killed. It wasn't pretty and the body was taken to Golgotha.

Now from there you can have it so you need to find Golgotha the way it is now or have Little Jesus tell you where it is located. You can go back to the guy’s parents with the bad news. They can ask you to recover his remains (bag of bones from Fallout 2) or as the name of the quest implies you can go to Golgotha on your own after learning where he is located and dig up the remains and take him back to his parents.

Come at me bro!
Banging that trio of super mutants without a condom on, should get you a damn fine reward. Especially if they treat you like a piece of meat, and tear your butt hole apart.

I'm just saying... this might be fun wouldn't it?
.......
You don't want to know.

Ok, a small clue.... I got a dimple in my ass. It's from getting paddled so hard that the fat cells right there were destroyed......
And after the shoot I was like, "so when were you gonna use that thing for real?" and "N" was like "your ass is black niw" and Im like, "really?!"
And that was the foreplay.
IRL.

As in less than a millionth what i do to my characters.

You come across a child standing by himself while the other kids play while in the Boneyard. In fact it seems the other kids avoid him. Upon talking to him he tells you a heart wrenching story about how his adopted father sold his only friend, a dog that his father found while out in the desert. He wants you to find it and bring it back to him. You ask why his father sold him and the child tells you he doesn’t know why. You ask why his father doesn’t go and find him and bring him back. The child tells you his father is dead. You ask how and he avoids the question.

If you agree to help the kid he tells you that his father sold the dog to a guy working for a caravan about a month ago. So asking around you find someone who knows about the man who bought the dog and he sends you up north to Klamath.

You ask around Klamath and people don’t want to talk about it. Until you finally find someone who does. A woman that tells you her brother bought the dog for his kid. She is very upset and you ask her why. She tells you a heart breaking story about how her brother lost his job, his wife and child became seriously sick, his crops and Brahmin all died. She hasn’t heard from him in over a week.

If you continue with it she will give you the location to his house. One of those small houses you encounter in the wasteland. Going there you discover the bodies of a man, woman and child. The man looks to have shot himself. There are rotting crops and Brahmin as well. But there is a lone dog alive and well barking. The dog responds to the name the child gave you Max or something.

Now all there is left to do is inform the man’s sister about the death of her Brother and his family and take the Dog back to the Boneyard.
But you soon discover there is something wrong. You are having more bad luck than normal as if you are jinxed. You take the dog back to the kid in the Boneyard and he just gives you a creepy smile and won’t take the dog back.

Another ending is he takes it back. But I am thinking you end up stuck with the Pariah dog. If you die he comes back. If he dies he comes back. As in if he dies in an encounter or you kill him. When you enter into the world map it comes back. But there is a way to remove him. You have to make a donation to the good people at the Cathedral of the Lost. Until then you are jinxed and lose luck. If you already are jinxed and your luck is already one, I don’t know I guess you somehow become even more unlucky.

The kid will not accept any other dog.

The Jungle Gym is looking for Boxers. Do you have what it takes?

This could be a complicated idea but...

You go the dwarf guy in the gym. You ask if you can go in to the ring and box. Based on your strength the guy will tell you what weight class you are in.  So you go up against one of the guys you can box in Fallout 2. You can make up new people as well.

So he agrees to let you fight. You are then transported into the ring as a blue shirt you will get your stuff back when you win/lose. Or to active the quest the guy could ask for a robe as in "do you got your own robe?" So when you go into the Ring you go in with the robe. The fighting is real time and other players can watch but they can't interfere. Could make the Jungle Gyms a protected area like the Casinos.

If another player wants to use the Ring while you are in it they will be told "what are you blind? The ring is in use so you just have to wait!"

If you win you get paid and can ask to fight against a tougher fighter. But the guy will ask you to pay him. As in "Hey you proved yourself in the last fight but I am trying to run a fighting business not a cleaning business. I don't got time to be cleaning your pulped body off my ring!" So you pay to play. If you win against the tougher guy you can ask to fight an even tougher guy.

He will only let you fight again after X amount of time.

Another alternative is you and your buddy go up to the guy and ask to use the Ring. Again you have to pay to play. You will only be able to punch.

This could also be done for San Francisco but you can kick as well as punch.

Simple way would be you go up against one really tough fighter if you meet the requirements. If not you have to pay the guy.

Another idea of the Jungle Gym. What good is boxing if you can't have a cool boxing name? Well you are in luck. Do you have a robe? Take it to the man in corner that will embroider it with your nickname. Working on the same idea of Tattooing. Only with clothing.

This could be done with Leather Jackets as well. Of course you won't see the embroidery but clicking on it "Wearing a Robe that says "Styles" or whatever you want written on it."

Quest giver is making a map of the wasteland landmass.
You approach the quest giver and he asks you to help him by exploring the wastes.
You can then travel across the wasteland and uncover more of the grid and then come back to the quest giver
to report of your progress.
The more of the wasteland map you uncover, the more you get rewarded per map tile revealed and you can return later to help the guy map more until you have uncovered all (or all of the tiles that the quest giver asks for).

What about the ocean/islands?

Find V-13;
You are given a job to locate V-13. Tandi (?) wants to find it for "historic" reasons. She only knows it's due west of NCR.
Grid by grid, you search; Eventually you'll land upon a strange encounter; A cave with some odd trash, a vault flask, a body, a holotape of the Vault Dweller's journeys, and Vic's radio. Going into the cave you find ants and rats.
To complete the quest you have to at least TRY to open the door, sonce you MIGHT find the fake vault (you can sell thus info to that guy in the bazaar, since "Maybe some gullible tribal trash might be interested.").
The site disappears once you leave.

It would be great to make use of some of the islands. It would be a lot of work but if someone developed a ferry boat, then it could be put into the game and act like the train system. You buy a ticket and get taken to the islands. Maybe just reuse the tanker in San Francisco until another one can be used. You buy a ticket and walk up the gangway and then it would be just like getting on the train.

There would also have to be a bunch of new maps to be made.

San Clemente Island for example has a navy base, in fact I think the navy owns the island.

The ferry system unlike the train system would be far less frequent. Maybe every couple of real world hours or whatever a in game day or two works out to be. The ferry would make a round trip. As in it leaves the mainland to Island A and from there it will go to Islands B, C, D and E and then back to the mainland. So it would be a slow system but it would work IMO. If you use it you will have to go to all the islands first before you can go back to the mainland.

I am thinking that there doesn't even need to be a dock built at every location. Just show the hull of the boat in the water and have the player spawn on the shore. When it's time for the ferry to leave have the gangway appear. Just make sure you have your ticket.

It is just a rough idea.

Anyway to not make some off-top I would be glad to hear if you plan or willing to add these funny quest/job with hunting down bandits and/or slavers. You can bring their ears/heads as it was mentioned or...make handcuffs from junk or metal parts and bring them alive on their "court case" with jail/hanging on ending. It would be works likes slavery. You need to say that would be something new...and finally new option, not only slavery guild :D

Do the kids in The Den steal from players? If not that should be brought back. Either way I have an idea.

In The Den there is a man who asks you to come over to him, he has a couple of kids around him. He asks you if you need help finding anything and for a beer he will help you out. He will seem very helpful. Making sure you know your way around, giving you lots of details. He will then ask you to help him out. He will tell you he was reading a book and is having trouble figuring out something. You ask him what that is. He will tell you.

"Well you know I've been reading about a game called Baseball. Do you know about baseball?"

If you don't know he will go into great detail about the prewar sport. If you do he will say:

"Well you know I've have been reading about these players but I am having some trouble with their names and I am not sure who is playing this game I am reading about."

You ask to see the book and respond: "Oh, I'll tell you their names, but you know it seems to me they gave these ball players then very peculiar names."

He  responds: "You mean funny names?"

You respond: "Strange names, pet names...like Dizzy Dean..."

Anyways if you see where I am going with that it would be the Abbott and Costello "who's on first" skit.

So what does this all have to do with anything? The whole time you the player are talking to this guy about long drawn out pointless stuff.... The kids in the area are robbing you blind! They are very good at it too.

Maybe have some way for it to detect if there is nothing in your inventory with some filter to detect useful stuff not brahmin shit and lint. When there's nothing in your inventory the man ignores you. When your inventory has been picked clean he says "you know what I figured it out" and ends the conversation.

But don't worry you can buy your stuff back at the store where the items where taken

The Other White Meat:

This post is the result of a week of googling; if you don't have something nice to say just don't say it.

OK! A true story from America's history...
Quote
In 1757, France’s Ottawa allies participated in a successful siege of Fort William Henry, a British fort located at the head of Lake George. In the aftermath of the siege, a Jesuit missionary, Roubaud, observed the Ottawas celebrating their victory:
He presently saw a large number of [Ottawas] squatted about a fire, before which meat was roasting on sticks stuck in the ground; and, approaching, he saw that it was the flesh of an Englishman, other parts of which were boiling in a kettle, while near by sat eight or ten of the prisoners, forced to see their comrade devoured. The horror-stricken priest began to remonstrate; on which a young savage replied in broken French: ‘You have French taste; I have Indian. This is good meat for me’; and the feasters pressed him to share it.
I was thinking, if Long Pig ever DID get added, maybe this story could provide some dialog options to play with.

Gecko/Necropolis Raiders.

After reporting back to Elmer that the delivery job is done, he'll offer to hire you to wipe out A raider base.
Pretty much a Rail Line Gang copy and paste for devs, but less money. Could be repeated in Gecko- maybe even with VC assistance (since the same raiders that hit Gecko would probably prey on VX, or at least their caravans).

I have been thinking. We have the Gun Runners. But what about introducing the Van Graffs?

I know they didn't become big until after the events of Fallout 2 and this game is set before that. But still have a small group who call themselves the Van Graffs based in Redding. They do all their business in Gold.

I am thinking you come across a young man named Tiaret Van Graff he has a new company. One day his family will be bigger then the Gun Runners just you wait and see. He isn't a nice man by any means.

Some jobs he could have for you would be:

To intercept Gun Runner shipments. Go to the Gun Runners and accept the mission to send a package to one of the towns. But you don't take it to the town, you bring it to the Van Graffs. There the VG will give you a package that looks just like the GR package and you take that to the original town.  The reason for this is that the VG have figured out how to open up the GR packages. They take what is inside for themselves and replace it with junk.

The Van Graffs are also interested in buying blueprints for energy weapons, energy weapons, HQ alloys and metals as well as power cells and Uranium.

They could also have some assassination missions for you. Targets being Brotherhood members, Gun Runners and other criminals and other small company owners.

They could have scout missions for you.. such as travel to Navarro, get inside Lost Hills and the Gun Runner's base. Each with some goal gathering weapons knowledge. Or simply observe. This could be done with dialogue. Such as Tiaret asks "So what kind of Tech are the Brotherhood hiding in that bunker of theirs?" And you can have options to lie to them, give them basic knowledge, if you have high science and intelligence that gives them awesome insist on the tech.

Do the Gun Runners have a caravan? If not they should and the Van Graffs could ask you to attack it.

They Van Graffs could have people that go Caravan hunting. You can sign up to go with them.

Bishop's Casino.
You approach a particular NPC (which can be deterimined later).
You; "Hey, any chance I can get on stage?"
NPC: (After passing stat check, speech and charisma) "Well, I guess so. Go on. Good luck."

You have three choices at any given point, and you have to do them IN THE PROPER ORDER.
Juggle/dance;
Tell a joke;
Sing a song.

AND you have to tell the right joke to the right song, and the songs in order:

Love Song
Sex joke
Loss Song
Divorce/widow joke
Revenge Song
Fuck off joke.

How well you do is a measure of your CH and Speech; too low, the crowd hates you no matter what. You might even get banned from the Shark Club. Very high, and you might even get an invite back.

Rewards: 50 xp and caps, each and every time (IF you are successful that is).

Best part: It's dialog tree only.......

Dr. Schreber has a problem. He has been working on an experiment, but it escaped! He needs you to hunt it down and kill it. Or the quest giver could be Dornan or the Base Commander. They need you to clean up Schreber's mess.

He is willing to pay you in some Enclave technology if you manage to kill the target.

What was the experiment? An Intelligent Female Deathclaw on steroids! She was an attempt to breed intelligent deathclaws.. His mistake he believes was using all those experimental drugs to boost aggression.

She escaped and has headed to a nearby cave system. He knows this because he has sent teams to deal with it, but they never came back. He had got a report from the last crew that there other deathclaws in the area.

So, get a team (or try it alone) and find this deadly monster and destroy her and any other deathclaws you encounter.

I am thinking that in the cave there could be eggs and small deathclaws and one or two larger deathclaws. The target could be something along the lines of a Legendary Deathclaw, as in an insane amount of HP and damage it causes.

Around the cave could be dead enclave soldiers, like we see in Mariposa military base in Fallout 2.

If you finish this quest the Doc will give you Enclave Combat Armour maybe Unique or at least Superior and some energy weapons. Or something else along those lines.

Circle of Steel:

Members of the Brotherhood of Steel have left the main group and set up a bunker south of the Glow or around there.
They feel that the Brotherhood leadership isn't being proactive enough to stop threats to the Brotherhood. So they have taken it upon themselves to act.

Some quests they could have you do: Scout out New California locations such as the train station, maybe plant a bomb or two. Assassination missions, kill NCR members, Gun Runners and maybe even Brotherhood targets. They make use of Stealth Boys so they will pay good money for them. They could send you on missions to find stealth boys in old ruins and such.

I am thinking that they could have a science team that is working on WMDs, such as a nuclear bomb and chemical weapons. So you could have go fetch quests such as bring them Uranium and Chemicals. Also their science team could be working on advanced Stealth Boys but they are having negative affects, such as insanity.

There could be quests for the normal brotherhood to scout out and gather information on the CoS. If you have high science and doctor you can find out and report back that they are working on Stealth Boy technology and it isn't going well. Making some members of the CoS unstable people.

"Mom's Speacial Dinner"

-You go to Mom in The Den at East Side to take the quest on.

-You ask Mom about anything speacial she can suggest you for dinner.

-She will tell you that her last load of special stock has been raided by robbers with better gear and needs her stock back

-You will trace the robbers to the Downtown part of the Den and try to talk out the situation, or go pew-pew mode and just collect the special dinner (You have to talk to den citizens, drunks and prostitutes about the stolen stock of the dinner maybe?)

-When you collect the special dinner, you can either go back to mom and give her the dinner, or keep the dinner for yourself

-Make it repetable every few hours

Suggestions for special dinner:
 -Jet, Psycho, Buff
 -Explosives
 -Ammo
-Some wierd rare stuff like mutated toe

Or even maybe have Renegades guard the dinner

I'm in favor of adding PvE content. This dinner thing sounds good enough. And yeah, there is an item called "Smitty's Meal" though i have never seen one in FOnline.

The thing is...right now the devs are working on what i believe are A LOT of changes for season 3, and this includes a TON of new mini-job/quests. So i'm waiting to see that before i suggest almost anything new. But even so...

+1

Yup items you have a lot of, or find that they are too easy to get...

Example: Everything and anything from treasure hunting :P

Hmmm...items we feel we have too many of? After hunting many lockers, i do have certain weird items stacked but you already know what those are - the same items you have stacked in a collection in some container, after hunting blueprints yourself. Not sure what you are asking, maybe because i don't why you're asking it. "Too many" is a matter of personal perspective.

We get, for example, a stack of psychic nullifiers. No use for them, so even 1 is "too many", right? Yet it's cute to have so many items. From a PvE view, more items adds to variety, and that seems to broaden the [virtual] reality.

So i would think dev team would ask "what uses can you think of for these items", the ones that seem to have no use other than collections. Is that really more at the heart of your question? Do you want us to write some short stories to match up with unused items to give them use?

........
Ok, so either find a use for them or just replace them with an equivalent number of caps.
Problem solved?

Not sure if you still want job suggestions. I also don't know if this is already possible but:

Slaver Run: The Slavers at the Den every couple of game days go out and hunt for slaves. You can sign up to go with them. While with them you capture the max amount of slaves you can catch, but then you go up to the head slave master and hand your slaves over to him. So that way you can keep catching slaves.  The slave Caravan then travels from towns around the North. Could have some outposts that only show up when you join the caravan. Some safe houses so players who are out slaving can drop off their catch.

You get paid while with them. Just like other caravans other players can enter the encounter and fight those slaving.

Edit: Wiki says slave runs are possible but this suggestion is a different take on it.

Van Graffs are already in the game see caravan companies names ...
but idea is nice

the current Van Graffs needs some rebalancing tho. Fighting through a shitload of mad warriors every encounter sure is tough for a squishy guy like me.
