Locker hunting
« on: December 26, 2013, 06:37:40 pm »
Hello guys

I was wondering if you could all help me figure out how exactly locker hunting works.

What skills do I need, and what kind of zones are the best for locker hunting.

Thank you

You can find lockers in random encounters (with NPCs) on urban tiles (Boneyard are for example, and any tile which has ruins). They are usually by walls. They are all locked so you'll need a minimum of 125% lockpick to pick most at the first try, and try to get an extended lockpick for a bonus. If you have a high enough level, you should just get lockpick to 150%.

You should also get a Treasure Hunter perk. You can find all the information about it in the link below.

Good luck!

I forgot to add two (semi) important things.

Sometimes you could encounter lockers with traps around them. To limit the damage from them, you should get Light Steps perk (info below) and get Traps skill to 100%, but only if you have spare points. Otherwise, get doctor to 50 at least and occasionally carry a doc bag with 50+ skill. Sometimes I don't even bother with disarming traps and just run through them, loot the locker, walk out and fix my injuries after safely looted.
