Close Combat / Sneak build
« on: November 07, 2013, 01:37:40 pm »
I'm thinking about a close combat build. Probably ripper knife. Would like to try a sneaker.

Is armor class worth going for or should I simply go for a tank?

My concept looks like this so far (which is probably pretty terrible):

ST 10 - PE 3 - EN 10 - CH 1 - IN 10 - AG 10 - LK 1

Traits: Bruiser and Small Frame

Tag skills: Close Combat, Sneak, Science

Perks: Bonus HtH Damage, Silent Running, More HtH Criticals, In Your Face, Hit the Gaps, Silent Death, Bonus HtH Attacks, Better HtH Criticals

Should I take Ghost instead of another perk? I end up with 180 Close Combat and 299 Sneak at level 24.

Any other suggestions?

with lk 1 you dont need crit perks, yiou done even have there silent death as i see,in your face is useless, whole close combat isn't worth exping...

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger...

Crappy build, 1LK is a fucking bad idea. Put 6 lk min , and 6 INT max.

I would also recommend jinxed triat instead of small frame. With "in your face" it is quite powerful.

Actually, now that I think about it you can't really sneak well in random encounters right?
Not really going for a PvP build so maybe I should just go for a crit-er or tank instead?

For HtH build use, Jinxed+In your Face!
Don't bother to take other AC perks, in the end 140 isn't so good.

180 Close Combat is already enough, go 200 if you want to spend SPs.

6 (+ Bruiser) -> 10

Does More Criticals and Even More Criticals stack with More HtH Criticals?

How about this?

ST 10 - PE 1 - EN 10 - CH 1 - IN 2 - AG 10 - LK 10

Traits: Bruiser and Jinxed

Perks: More Criticals, More HtH Criticals, Even More Criticals, More HtH Damage, In Your face, Bonus HtH Attacks, better HtH Criticals, Hit the Gaps

Or maybe I could take Finesse (for 50% critical chance) and Even Tougher instead of Jinxed and In Your Face?

Eh, finesse isn't exactly the thing you really want, it's good for cripplers only, also ability to dodge 50% of your enemy's attacks is a "bit" better than having higher damage resistance.
