fire gecko hunting

anyone know of a good place to hunt fire geckos?
best place i found was south of gordons gas station.
is there a better place?

few zones left to gas station you can find 3 or 4 zones in a row where you can only find encounters with fire geckos, not sure in the exact coordinates tho. but anyway you can find them all around that area

They seem to appear in encounters near Mariposa.
But maybe that was just a fluke.

You can get the Scout perk to see what NPCs you can encounter in a given area. I am getting that one soon myself.

Pretty much in the desert is where you'll only encounter fire geckos.
