News and Announcements / Re: Server wipe
« on: February 15, 2021, 07:01:12 pm »
Hi,
I would like to ask about the state of further plans mentioned in 3rd Session Changelog. Is there any chance/possibility these plans will be implemented (in some form/to some extent) after Wipe?

From the S3 Changelog:
"Further plans:

+ Additional PvP modes/locations (Base control, Domination);
+ Further map modifications (some of current maps are *VERY* temporary);
+ Large dungeon with full loot enabled;"

Thank you!

Reloaded S2 mechanics? Player loot? Crafting of T4 available? 10 players online on average... This doesn't make sense, or?

Hi, if you really can't cope with reloaded community, you can still switch to other servers, FO Aftertimes looks like it needs some new manpower...unless you get yourself buying Fallout 76 capable machine.
Also, you can always disable pm notifications.
Gee too bad, I really thought you are Para, gotta remember his TRUE BAE.

Closed suggestions / Re: Add radios to all helmets.
« on: December 08, 2018, 03:52:21 pm »
Don't know about the metal mask, but practically every other helmet could contain built-in radio (or be able to get radio upgrade), especially the leather armor helmet. It also has stated in the description that it can be mounted with a radio.
'The side slots can be upgraded with headphones for the Wattz Electronics 2043B Radio. '

Bugs / Re: No dialogue
« on: October 18, 2018, 05:03:12 pm »
Hi,

similar thing happened with the Mutant Quest giver Ban Chao. At first it was possible to engage dialogue with him, and after you finished a part of the quest he just didn't speak to you anymore (being busy, try speaking later message). Anyway, from my experience and in hat particular case, the problem was with my charisma and intelligence being too low to continue the quest chain. After consuming mentats and beer, I could normally proceed and talk to him again, finishing the quest. Maybe this is the same case? I actually did that Chef Soup quest today and It worked fine with 3 INT and 1 CH character that used beer and mentats.
Hope It helps.

Game Help / Re: So.. I rerolled the character...

You should have made a new character before rerolling the old one and provided him with map to the tent.
When you delete a character, all his tents disappear, unless someone else read the maps to these locations.

Now, now, no need for hostilities, as I wrote before, If you think repair skill is glitched or bugged, PM Kilgore or Docan and ask them directly.
Anyway the info about repair on wiki is up to date and correct.

Game Help / Re: Cant Escort Caravans
« on: September 06, 2018, 05:05:39 pm »
Hi,
it's not a PP issue, ever since season 3 you got gear check (armor and weapon condition)  for caravans, that means if you have gear that is damaged too much, caravan masters won't accept you. I don't remember the exact condition of gear that makes you pass the gear check, but making sure it's above 50% should make joining caravans possible.
Also, you can equip weapons such as knives etc that have no deterioration, that way you will always pass the weapon condition check, and after that equip the weapon you will use in the run.

I really tried to make as much sense of how repair works, but it looks we are going in circles here.

If you really think there is something wrong with it, you can still try to contact Kilgore or Docan and explain your issues. Hopefully they will give you a satisfying answer and/or fix any bugs found.

So I finally thought to get PROOF of what I was saying, but the damned file is too large.
Combat shotgun; Before repair 88/92. Repair of 125 (maxed out, I've tried to extend it more than once, just to see if I could get past the cap using probably the same bug that causes this). Using a multi-tool, it came out 82/82 (so the repaired condition was LESS than the pre-repaired condition, meaning it came out WORSE than before). Pretty sure repairing something ISN'T supposed to do that.
No, it's not every single time; I'm thinking it's a glitch somewhere in the repair algorithms. (That's why it's called "a bug.")

"How does "Successful Maintenance" result in a weapon that's in WORSE shape NOW, than it was BEFORE you "repaired" it?" That's not possible.

The repaired condition of gear/weapons is always less than the pre-repaired, unless you roll a perfect repair in which the max condition is not decreased.
Every successful maintenance results in decrease of weapon condition, if it wouldn't, you would be able to keep on repairing stuff infinitely. Imagine you would successfully repair something from 88/92 to 92/92, and then again to 92/92, and again...
The weapon condition keeps falling every time you successfully (or not) repair it.
As Powerpuff wrote, It is pointless to repair 88/92 gear.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with repair.

Hi,
just to be sure, you used regular tool to repair a 88/92 shotgun, and after successful repair it went to 82/82. That means: "successful maintenance will repair an item to max condition" and "at the same time it will decrease overall max condition by 8-10%"...which it did. The 88/92 shottie went to 82/82, max condition was 92% minus 10% because of using a tool gives 82%. So because of using a tool the new max condition is set to 82%.
Sure, some times it seems like the condition after repairing is worse than expected, but by using a super toolbox (you can buy it from Rondo in NCR or farm it from GR mutie quest) you get much better results than fixing it with a tool.
Also it's better to use super toolbox because there is a  20% chance that max condition will not be decreased.
Meaning your shotgun would stay 92/92 even after repair.

Survival Guides / Re: How to become a Super Mutant (a rough guide)
« on: May 31, 2018, 11:43:48 pm »
Hello guys,

not trying to nitpick, but the scientist is actually called Ban Chao. Also about the injecting of mutagen, more faster way is to go to Den and inject it to local drunkards, rather than searching for holy people encounter.
And about one thing I noticed: You can start the quest-chain even with less INT than 5, but after you return with the 12 electronic parts, you can't engage dialogue with Ban Chao, It will keep on writing messages like He seems busy, talk to him later; or simply no message at all. At that time, you need to have at least 5 INT to continue with the quest and finish the electronic parts segment of the quest chain.

Anyway, great update and quality content.

Hi,

try running the Updater, If you can't connect, change server's IP in your FOConfig to: 31.135.174.139
If it fails delete your current Reloaded folder and re-download and unpack the full client.

General Game Discussion / Re: Unique Rock Petition.
« on: March 13, 2015, 06:56:52 pm »
Rocks are awesome, I can still remember some players using them for crippling purposes (plant spikes also). But in the end..its just a rock, and it never moves.

I dont quite agree about the needed dmg buff for melee weapons, considering you can boost the damage with bonus hth dmg, bruiser, maxed str. After all that you get a decent amount of damage (super sledge: 36-54, MPF: 38-58). The main problem is the fact that you spend on so many perks/traits/stats that it leaves you with practically no resistances or spare HP, not even mentioning the SPECIAL stats. Of course im not talking about HtH abuzers, but decent crit dealing builds.
