I need some equipment, Just started, I keep getting killed! Do you guys know where i can find some at least basic items?

Get a tent for some safe place, put it near some mine. Than mine for metal parts, alloys and gun powder. Chop some wood in mountains, scavenge for junk in ruins. Search deserts for fruits and flint. When you will be ready craft your first items and that's all. Next hunt for NPC, start with geckos for skin and brahmins for hides. Next move to more dangerous place and hunt some bandits, riders, slavers and other wasteland shit....good luck.

Your first 5 or so levels on your first char, drop EVERYTHING at your tent as soon as you get it.
Do you know about the Fixboy? It will help you A LOT to know about this- log in and hit the F key.

Should we assume you got started? Most people set up a tent near Junktown quarry and mine and craft for some xp and starting gear. Also there are some guides on the wiki (wiki search: guides) including my start on a "White Knight Startup" guide. It's far from complete but might help during your first several levels.
