Welcome back! The game plays a bit differently in some respects (watch out for 12+ shot plasma pistol characters!). Buffed weapons with -AP are so powerful. You can craft items in large quantities (pure crafting character is viable now!). Enjoy and good luck in the wastelands.

Yea, I'm not entirely sure what the default behavior is for the companions respawning. The best thing I can tell you is to check all of your bases and tents for that character. In addition, they appear to take like 5-10 minute (IRL) to respawn.

You can talk to them about what to do if you ever get separated. One of the options is to specify the name of a base (you can look these up in your faction terminal) or a tent camp.

That's why I used an or for those four items. It's an exclusive or (as are most in the English language).

click on the repair skill when it comes out
make sure you have high repair skill or a tool/kit in your hand

The slave does hammer animation when mining. Do I need slave that can use hammers for them to be able to mine in a private mine. I know they have to a hammer on them. But can ghoul slave mine or just only slaves with hammer animations?
Just in case you weren't clear from the previous reply, you don't have to put slaves in a mine that have a hammer animation. So, in summary, they don't need a hammer in their inventory and they don't need hammer animations either. I have used a variety of slaves and never had an issue with this.
There are some other issues with slave mining, however.

What's the deal with this guy? He keeps killing my friend near Necropolis using some exploit. Basically my friend gets locked into TB combat and all of Chuck Nordis and his friends can move in real time? Is this a known glitch?
