Check all your bases, he should be there. If your base is in the radiation zone (you get radiated on that base) he is dead, because of radiation. Try to buy a new one.

So this I try, but not find. Was south of Redding, so not radiated.
He say, "give me map" but I not have map to give, only moneys. Is this important?

From what I understand, the OP was talking about "local farmer" NPC. Which is in fact not a follower. This homesteader/farmer like NPC does not follow you, but stays on your "Faction Base" (not a tent!). It does not have anything to do with your character or PartyPoints.

It can be hired for 5000caps, but only by a faction leader. You can hire one for every FactionBase you have.

0/34, but as is ronillion said, is homesteader, like local farmer, belong to faction, not "me." He whined too little rain. He say he go to Blacks after I give him moneis and then he never show up for work. (Maybe get drunk and forget?)
