Throwing an idea out there for the devs.

Drinkin' Nuka Cola and enjoying a rainy night.

Throwing a fresh idea out there for the devs. Something like this probably won't ever be implemented, seeing how hard it probably would be to script it, but here goes:

Players/factions should be able to set up NPC task forces (which they can gear up as they please, and grow them larger, with some limit of course) that roam the world map independently, taking encounters, even hunting down and killing faction's enemy players, then bringing all the loot back to faction base.

Of course there would have to be a big management system for those kind of task forces, for example if a task force becomes KIA, they can be activated/resurrected again (without the gear they had on ofc 'cause they lost it) with a fair amount of caps. They'd also need quite a bit of upkeep.
Also a wide array of options on what areas your task force would move, maybe even a spectate mode to see where your force is going and how's it doing. Would add something real fresh and a whole new side to the game.

There could be a nice new bounty system implemented also to go along nicely with something like this. A terminal where players could put a bounty on someone, and then people/factions can send out their task forces after those players.

What are your thoughts, fellow bluesuits?  8)

Hmmm, thought of it a few days ago more or less, been working on something similar. No watching your force roam around but it's pretty close to what you're thinking. Kind of like Dialog PvP but with community based teams and combat.

FOnline Reloaded need more player/player activities, not more some random NPCs who try hunt down players.

This sounds like a bad idea to me. Large factions and players with a ton of free time have always had a clear advantage over the rest of the player base in fonline. I have played almost all the servers at one point or another including the ones that are no longer active and this has always been true. An idea like this would would only cater to these folks and provide one more advantage over the rest of the player base. How would you balance this without a high cost and alot of micromanagement? A high cost would only hurt the smaller groups, new players, and loners. Too much time needed to manage this mercenary force hurts the folks with lives outside of this game and makes "no lifers" more powerful. Take a look at well organised groups from the past and present and imagine what things would be like if they had something like this at their disposal.

Lots of new content coming, all sorts of crazy stuff. Stuff for everyone. If there is something you don't like, you simply don't have to play it. Nothing in game is going to force you into anything beyond your control.

A terminal where players could put a bounty on someone.

Just realised that this would be entirely too exploitable and ditched my suggestion lol :)

We would be able to PK while at work, or sleeping.

-1 to this idea... bigger factions will just mass spawn the NPCs and not have to worry about it...

If you wanna do something new to factions.... Give factions a Faction Level that has to by upgraded through mets, caps, and # of members in it...

I.E. lvl 1 faction can have 10 members... lvl 2 can have 15... lvl 3 can have 20, lvl 4 can have 30, and level 5 can have 40.

on top of the fact that this will slow factions down from getting really big really fast, it will also pervent players from having 10+ alts in a single faction...

also, you could use the faction level in bases as well... instead of how many members are in the base, it determines how many/often resources are there..

just throwing it out there :)
