Title: Fiber gathering in DIY base
Post by: Smeller on January 12, 2014, 05:19:38 pm
Fiber in my DIY outpost base doesn't replenish. Waited for 2 real days and still nothing.

Oh, and also - my brahmins in this base don't leave no shit.

I read somewhere that Brahmins in bases don't shit, but I can't find the post now.

Does anyone else have access to your base? Maybe one of your "friends" have been taking it?

Well, there's only two players except for me who can access this base, and i'm sure they didn't  take it.

There was at least one more person with such problem.

I need more people that are able to confirm fiber plants don't regen (or that they do).
Probably similar issue as with electronic parts.

However you can still gather fibers from encounters, so it's less of a problem.

I can confirm this for my gas station and I'm the only one using it.

Double confirmation: the fiber plants in my DIY Outposts were regnerating just fine before, but i just checked today and they no longer regen. Also the cows in my DIY Outposts no longer drop poo.

FYI: The first time i saw any hint of this kind of problem was at the end of 2238 where no cows dropped poo in Vault City. Or maybe they'd drop only 1 poo each, and all other regen would stop.

Checked today, both DIY Outpost's and Gas Station's fibers don't respawn.

It's not just DIY bases. I've tried gathering fibers in Klamath, etc. Nothing.
I could try out on the wastes, see if that works.

Okay here's another one: as of yesterday evening i can no longer gather meat slices from my butcher tables. Is meat slices generation also stopped for you? To find out, get 100 meat slices that are already there, wait a while and see if any regenerate.

At first i was thinking it's only my Buffout bases because i have gathered TONS of meat there for making Buffout and maybe there is a limit (like ore in private mines), but I just tried my south base and i only got 23 slices. Full regen is 100 so this is looking like a related problem.

I haven't had a problem, but with a few thousand lying around I hadn't tried. Anyone else?

Also, is it only me (always doing it at the wrong time), or Fibers in Hub do not replenish either?

Could U guys check if dissassembling armors yields any fibers? With the general shortage I tried obtaining them from all sorts of armors. Didnt work. Is my skill too low, or is fiber just inobtainable at all?

During this fiber bug, best way is to get a knife and go find wild fiber stalks. 20 fibers per plant.

I want some proof, that there is chance to find empty fiber plant on the random encounter! I don't need some pictures without logs.

Dammit, I thought I had it, too....
Ok, so I'll log in and get another one.

(No one else is having screenshot problmes, right? This is just a one-off fluke?)

No need to be screenshot, logs are fine too. I just want to see does everyone who has these problems lie, or is there really problem with fibers on encounters.

No matter how many fiber plants I do cut down there is always 20 pieces of fibre.
