waiting for wipe.

So this phrase has been used by Kilgore about 4 times in the last 2-3 days. Kilgore has been REALLY active lately and I've seen DocAN on more as well. I'd be willing to guess that the wipe is closer than we all think... Just my 2 cents.

PS, the day an avenger is better than a vindi is the day Brahmins will fly. The 3/2 damage ratio makes it what it is.

That's for a bluesuit. I once hit a bluesuit for 1200 with Vindi.


I was curious myself what exactly the difference is so found 5 minutes to calculate these:

Target: Toughness + Even Tougher character in CA MKII + Psycho + Beer (no implants)
[75% DR / 11 DT]
Shooter: MRD (no BRD) char
[+3 dmg per bullet]

Avenger [+20% min dmg/+20% max dmg, 5mm AP]
Min
(12+3-11+12*20/100)*2/3*40*(100%-[75-35]%)=102,4
Max
(15+3-11+15*20/100)*2/3*40*(100%-[75-35]%)=160


Vindicator
Min
(20+3-11)*3/2*25*(100%-[75-15]%)=180
Max
(28+3-11)*3/2*25*(100%-[75-15]%)=300


+ Avenger’s got slightly better range
+ Avenger can be –AP (so you can have two burst in a row with any PvP char) and have Crit Chance/Power bonuses (and Dmg bonuses might be up to 25%)
+ Adding BRD will bump Avenger’s dmg much more comparing to Vindi’s


To be honest these are not really accurate to what I observe ingame (with implants and HPAs these are more accurate for a hex hit).
So yeah, Vindi might have better damage on one burst, but averagely it doesn't kill with one blow and you can shoot second time faster with Avenger + you have a better chance to score critical hit. I'd still stick to Avenger even if 4,7 was more common.

vindicator just needs some love.. i spent over 15k caseless ammo in pvp with vindi and max dmg build and i have to say that it was epic moments ^^
atm i got around 50 vindicators and 0 ammo for them
@johnny - as badboy said, in practice its not really like that because its not only about raw dmg vs blacksuit .. caseless ammo does have much lower -dr and no armor penetrate thats why its not that big difference vs that army of mass stacked resistance tanks

It was a well played battle, the only thing I have a problem with is that you guys win your battles by bringing your best gear. I think if you come on even ground and normal gear, Reilly's would win a lot more than we do now.

It was a well played battle, the only thing I have a problem with is that you guys win your battles by bringing your best gear. I think if you come on even ground and normal gear, Reilly's would win a lot more than we do now.

If you are bothered by imbalanced numbers I don't know what to tell you. You guys have had most of the session to prepare and recruited a ton of people in that time, maybe you should bring them.

We show up with who is in Tesmspeak and wants to come.

Keep posting screens and vids, it's good to be able to see them afterwards, since we don't record anything. Thanks for posting what you've got.

Not true. UV brings their best gear 90% of the time. I'm sure everyone will agree to that.
