Just started

Hello I just downloaded the client this morning. I am unsure of what to do once I log in as I seem to be in a small area with a couple of npc's. I read some guides but didn't find the answer.


Also, just to be sure I want to play this game in the first place. Is this game sandboxy like eve? I thought I read somewhere that factions or players could own towns. Thanks!

If you're part of a faction then yes, you can take contorl of some towns. You have to have 5 charaters (other players) from your faction with you (http://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/index.php?title=Town_control).
all the fo's are in perpetual beta mode, this one's no different except that it was built with a MUCH better foundation (and no stupid "slave pit" quest).
If you haven't already, build or join a faction (http://forum.fonline-reloaded.net/index.php?board=9.0).
Now is a pretty good time to start; a wipe is coming up relatively soon, so you can see if you wanna stay (hope you do, thus is the best one on right now).
