Selling stuff

Hi! Short story short: why can't I sell items to merchants they're supposed to buy? Like shotguns for Buster in NCR? On the other hand I can sell them to Dusty in NCR (but he has no money )

Also offtop: Why is my name yellow?

Many merchants don't buy stuff you are trying to sell them.
I tried sell some leather armors at NCR, also some low tier weapons to buster. But I can't sell them for price.

Edit: If you have many random items, go sell them at bars.

Offtop answer -> You joined on some NPC driven faction. Like Enclave, BoS, VC or Raiders. Reason for your yellow name color.

Oh I become VC citizen, I didn't know it counts as faction yet. Can I abandon it somehow? I wanted to join Enclave
