Engravings

Wouldn't it be fun to be able to engrave weapons and armors you make?
It would only add a short text in the items description. Right now there's a line that says who made the thing. If there also was a line from the author..
Imagine that you stroll across the wastes and encounter a guy, that, without a shadow of doubt, you shoot on sight. When looting his still cursing corpse you find a gun with an engraving that says: "to whomever took this- fuck you" Possibilities are endless, and could be pretty funny.
Maybe engraving could be done by repairing a 100% condition item? A window would pop up so you could engrave your gun.
Just an idea i got while looking through loot.
Im sure i would be making tons of funny engravings

I think somethig like this could be done with an NPC. Player will have to pay for it.

However, i dont think i like the idea of having an npc doing the job. I made the gun- i can scratch whatever i want on the barrel. Its not like its more difficult to engrave something on a plasma rifle in the post-nuclear wastes, its to make it 

Maybe, when making a gun there would be a %chance to make the engraving? like with those item perks?
