Hunting caravans

OK so in game currently, you can track the location of caravans and hunt them down in RT, and encounter and fight them.

But I have 2 questions about this;

Firstly, is it "legal" to do so, I mean you aren't joining the caravan as a guard, so it's not like TKing, but I can see how it would be frustrating for people running the caravans.

Secondly; what happens if you wipe out a caravan? Do you lose reputation at all? Or will the caravan driver charge you the 2500 caps to ride with him again etc?

It's entirely legal. Firing a single shot at a player or caravan gaurd sets the entire caravan on you. You are simply a raider to them.

Killing caravans lowers rep however, so watch your reputation.

Thanks for the info, but whose rep do you damage? Is it dependent on the caravan or is it always the hub?

It should depend on the caravan. Eg I suffered a GR rep hit when killing a GR caravan leader.
