General Game Discussion / Re: Season 3 Thoughts
« on: February 21, 2018, 07:06:39 am »
Let's be clear: nobody left because of new added content. That doesn't make any sense. Adding more content makes game better. No, they left because they 1) were kicked out for cheating (finally), or 2) they can't seem to upset people as much any more (no loot drop), or both.

:facepalm this point is simply flawed by execution, players can leave if they don't like the content added or removed. in my opinion though, the only good thing added from this wipe was the PVE stuff, basically nothing else. pvp is shit and boring now, and the thrill of the game is completely lost. why make a classic fallout based RPG where you can't lose loot? you could say that in classic fallout you never lost loot to begin with, but that's because the game is singleplayer and was meant to be singleplayer. when you die in game, the game doesn't just reload your save, it's basically a game over (hence the dead vault dweller and the quote about you being dead once you die). the only reason you kept your stuff is because of saving and such. but it made perfect sense for you to lose your things in a multiplayer fallout game. when everyone can keep their loot and just repair it, there is no reason to even pvp besides dicking around, and even that aspect is lost in reloaded. there's nothing to do besides dick around with the new quests which have writing that is decent at best and amateur at the least. there's a reason that so many players left reloaded, and that's because pvp is dead and there's no loot drops. pvp kept people playing to begin with. when you basically take that away, and a deep mechanic such as hexing, who cares about sitting at range and bursting? it's boring. just because the game is free does not mean it's immune to criticism.
TL;DR: the majority of the playerbase did not want the changes to begin with and they can leave if they don't like the new content. your point doesn't make sense because you insinuate that every PVP player is an asshole and a big meanie head who just wants to piss people off, when in reality they played for the thrill of the loot and for the action

All these years later and Henry is still a massive pussy. Dog bless

Might as well not wipe if there isn't a significant update to be made.

Game Help / Character recovery possible?
« on: August 23, 2016, 07:54:21 am »
I'm looking to recover a character I've lost the password to. Is this possible? Would any developer/administrator be willing to do this?

Pretty sure this is the right place to ask, and I didn't find anything definite from searching.

There's no point in arguing. I've said what needs to happen, and if Kilgore has a brain in his head he won't allow some new player to run up and get an implant or power armor for free.

Kind of interesting how everyone who's disagreed so far (minus STALKER) has been someone who doesn't actually PvP.

Pure lies, as we can see here:

No pvp, huh? Two of us in this thread were in that fight. Where were you? Stop posting BS on forum and get into PvP more. If you get this upset when people disagree [with your bad ideas], then maybe you should go play outside for a while:

The best loot in the game should not be obtainable for free...

...and it isn't free, even in Reno. You have to take risks to get that loot. If anyone is there, expect a fight. PvP! Hurray! But if nobody is there, check for loot and look forward to when someone is there, maybe next time. So what's the big deal? Maybe you'll understand more after you've done more PvP.

A new player shouldn't be able to wander into New Reno and find HPA or an implant. It completely skips any form of gear progression, it undermines players that worked hard to get good at the game...

Since when does this game force any sort of fair "progression"? It doesn't. It is wasteland. And no, it doesn't undermine anyone at all. That's in your head. So what if some newps run into dangerous places and get something cool? Luck them. That doesn't cost you anything.

There is no risk to bluesuiting in reno. That's what the entire thread is about. Just fuck off if you don't have anything to contribute beyond insults. I won't even go into why your statement of "Maybe you'll understand more after you've done more PvP." statement is stupid and petty; you've clearly just come into this thread because you're still holding a grudge. Take it to forum PvP, you autistic piece of shit. Everybody knows you're not going to say anything constructive here: You're solely hear to disagree with me, and that's it. You're nothing but a drone who will sit here and defend any status quo in the game, no matter how much it may take away from serious players. Do everyone a favor and go back to editing roleplay articles on the shitty wiki, or better yet, just stop breathing.

Kind of interesting how everyone who's disagreed so far (minus STALKER) has been someone who doesn't actually PvP. The best loot in the game should not be obtainable for free, if you disagree with that then check yourself into a mental health facility. This thread is here to make a suggestion to the devs, not to have a roleplaying discussion with the shitters that are doing all this bluesuit looting.

Even just adding the requirement of a lockpick set to open the locker could help with this (not even lockpick skill, just the item) - they won't just keep coming back if they need to bring an item they don't have an infinite amount of. Might not be a permanent solution, but it could help.
That I can accept, needing a lockpick set or something.
Also I do pvp sometimes. I just always die when I do :P So I run out of disposable gear and have to wait for another private mine to pay out before I can fight more. It's fun, but I haven't been spending much time on fonline lately.

I just don't understand why it makes that much difference to you.

I feel like I'm repeating myself, but here goes: A new player shouldn't be able to wander into New Reno and find HPA or an implant. It completely skips any form of gear progression, it undermines players that worked hard to get good at the game, it's completely retarded. The worst part is that the people who are doing this won't ever use the items they find in PvP, they'll just continue to sit around in their base and talk with the power armor they found on. I'm in the barracudas, and I would MUCH MUCH rather see Ultra Violence or Amboys getting locker loot/owning towns than some bluesuit who doesn't even know not to bring JHP into PvP.

Raeg moar people.  Raeg miar. I'll KEEP fucking your little haapy fu

Nobody is raging over you. You're just not significant enough to evoke that kind of emotion in anybody. Feel free to waste your time coming to the PvP town when you're not even a PvPer just to try and upset someone you don't even know or have any reason to dislike.

To "Jake elwood": Keep your spam out of my thread, shitface.

Fuck you. You want it guarded so bad- YOU DO IT.

I don't like to respond to braindead degenerates such as yourself, but I'll bite.

I DO guard it when I can. The problem is that guarding it does nothing. The people I kill immediately come back bluesuit with no repercussions. It's like you didn't even read my thread before posting - Oh wait, that's what you always do, because you're an obnoxious post count spammer.

Either add guards to prevent this kind of crap, or penalize people for coming back bluesuit over and over. This shit has GOT to stop. These idiots won't ever learn to pvp if they can just loot the locker for free.
TL;DR:
YOU SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET POWER ARMOR, IMPLANTS, AND HIGH TIER WEAPONS LOOTING AN UNGUARDED LOCKER WHILE BLUESUIT.

How does this mika noire guy get away with flinging his shit all over the forums like some kind of chimpanzee? Constantly posting this bullshit outside of the appropriate threads, and you still haven't been banned. I don't understand it.
