Theren is too many pk who kill my cow in mine I choose to no longer support this game and never play again. Be proud to kill some low level pker and be proud to loose a player :) There are so many better free mmorpg out here don't need to loose my time here where mining 1 hour is worth nothing but 40k cap and thats peanuts for those high level who have nothing to do but kill cow in mine. Well, one day maybe we will get a real Fallout mmo but this is just pk world. If only this server was not filled with high level pkers who have nothing else to do than to prevent noob from having fun but no...it is...homepage change and is no longer fonline game uninstalled sniff...I have no choice I have no fun see y'all in hell >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

1. Find a group of people which play more this game than a week. Generally, FOnline is about shooting each other but it is possible to play PvE, roleplay. You only need experience and don't visit north towns etc. Remember this is fucking wasteland and game for people who don't afraid loosing few crap items. You should enjoy because old version of russian TLA server in 2008/2009 was unbalanced and even you couldn't exit respawn place (hell) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7PYtE3-w3s) because there were pks in APA with high equipment. :P
2. Create a proper character build for PvE/crafter which will have access to Gun Runners' advanced workbench (safe place). Next you can also lvl up PvP build.
3. Read wiki, ask other people about game.
4. Don't afraid pks because you can easily avoid them or even kill if you have proper build and equipment.
5. Wait for a wipe which means update with many improves, fixes and so on. :)

It's just called natural selection, wastland is harsh you just have to learn how to not make the same mistakes again, maybe order cow to flee when attacked, or use slaves/companion to transport (they run and have more hp).
Mining is basic feature and i will tells you how to do it, feel free to continue or quit :
Go den and become slaver, Go NCR (securised) and buy 3 slaves, make a tent near junktown mine, go mine with ur slaves and tell them to flee if attacked.
If a PK come, u make them flee and continue mining alone. If the pk mange to kill one slave the others will flee wm and u saved 66% of gathering + the pk may die, you have time to go wm take slaves and save what droped on the floor.
After that craft some shit and gather 100k in junktown/hub (no pvp lame unicorn zone totaly secure) traders, buy private mine and order slaves to mine automaticaly, gather ressources from slaves 4~5 day later, craft, trade, repeat, jackpot !!!
Remember Fonline is about to loose things so consider how to not loose all like a noob ^^

lol rage quitter. You have no balls to try and succeed in this game. We all started the same way you did, some even late and by that time there were people already high level.

Gifted trait would be too OP in Fonline. Also you can just go to some unguarded town if you want to craft in advanced workbench. Most players have what they need I doubt they will kill you.
And I'm assuming you're falling in Russians TB traps. Its shitty favorite who can't win anything in real PvP so does TB traps in boneyard

Lordoomer, if you directed that grief and anger towards adapting into the game and avoiding stupid mistakes you'd probably be more succesfull.

the trick is to not mine looking like you have anything.
don't mine with a cow.
who knows the riches that cow may hold.
make an alt with a high carry capacity.
build a tent close the mine of your choice.
once you load your alt, drop off at your tent.
then repeat.
mine blue suited.
then you only loose one load of material and a sledge if pkers invade.
the game will not adapt to you.
adapt to the game and find what works.
its kind of like finding the hidden coins in a Mario game.
yes, i feel that cheap pk is a problem when starting out.
some folks are just too lazy to go pound their own rocks.
but that's part of the game.
i also find that once you buff up, hunting pkers can be rewarding.
watching the backs of honest miners in the geko or broken hills mine can be a nice payback.
especially if you made a list of those who pked you for no reason other than to kill a blue suit.
besides, we will all be equals soon with the wipe.
so learn the game now to get a feel on how the next session may start off.
with the changes kilgore and the gang will be making it will make it a NEW game.
and we will all have to relearn it and adapt.
its like crafting at the modoc advanced work bench.
don't go there absolutely loaded with all the material you can carry.
go there with 6 or 8 of what you need to build.
if you get pked, that's all you lost.
if you don't get killed, you are in and out.
then repeat.
once you get killed, don't go back for awhile.
pkers seem to be lazy and will get bored and move on.
they seem to have a short attention span.
in other words, find what works and stick with it.
or be like a lazy pker and rage quit.
you decide.

No. No no no no. There will never be "equal" Fonline Players.
Those who have been playing sincee 2009 on 2238 will always be more prepared and experienced then those who start out now.
Those who are in a faction will also have a leg up on any solo player.
Those who have played since 2009 AND are in a faction will reign dominant, just like every server.
The population of the game now is made up of the hardened players who have done their best to adapt to the harsh conditions of the wasteland. Not these sissies who whine and rage every time the get killed by molerats and suggest "Keep itanz on death!!"
I don't see how you guys seem to think the wipe is some great melting pot, and it will make everyone on the same level. The lame players will stay lame, and the Powerful players will stay powerful. There will always be whining and there will always be rage quitting. If you don't have the balls to play the game, then leave. I'm sure we are all better of without you.

Build a miner character.
Build a tent nearby.
When you leave the mines, stand around for a few seconds before leaving- to see if your being followed. If you are, kick them right off.
Leave the cow at your tent.
And stop fucking whining!

i agree, but i also found that helping noobs BEFORE they get frustrated helps with player retention.
more players = more targets.

It is pretty cowardly for a high level player to kill a low level player for a few worthless items. This is no doubt how those would act in a true survival situation when cooperation would be best. I will not kill any other player except in self defense, the wasteland is hard enough.

cowardly dicks do have a place in this game.
part of the fun of this game is taking note of these dicks and hunting them down when you are no longer a bluesuited.
if one dick is so powerful, hunt this dick with a gang and rat pack him.
i also do not shoot first.
i also die alot.
but not always.
in a random encounter with another player the first thing i say is "i wont shoot".
if they shoot first, and i survive, they are usually dead, or i run away.
but then i am primarily turn based.
in real time, you better just shoot first.
but revenge can be a good motivator for not giving up.
and since this is just a game, it is not a drain on your real world karma bank.
unless you make it so.

I can feel his pain. It happens to me when I took my cow with 90% of my stuff in the base and I was traveling to new better base with it and I catch forced enc. my cow and me was killed by npcs and I lost everything :)
Pls remember there are much worst things in fonline than missing cow. It is baserape, hacking to your account, sneakers followers, greedy Russians and op implanted bbs who will kill you, taunt you, and kill you again and post epic pic on forum with your bloody pixels

i have always found the charges of "the devs stole my crap", pretty fucking funny.
if the devs want stuff, i think they could just use a few finger pokes on the keyboard and have it.
or maybe even a few mouse clicks on a script.

the drudgery of picking up brock flowers is nothing compared to the drudgery of updating this game, or as we are currently waiting for, a wipe.
a brand new game.
i don't think the devs have time to steal your cow.
or the desire to do so.
i too have lost stuff mysteriously.

did the devs target me for my pile of crap that they could create out of thin air?
no.
did the devs find an exploit that players have been exploiting?
maybe.
but maybe this exploit was so far ingrained in the code, that only a wipe could fix it.
warning us about an exploit would only let more folks know on how to do it.
I trust kilgore and the gang.
i have no inside knowledge on the whats or whys.
and i don't care.
now ask this.
why would the devs risk pissing people off so that their hobby would be de-populated.
their hobby that we can get for free.
so if you want to rage quit, go away already.
if it comes down to only me and the devs playing, so be it.
as long as i can click on the link and play, my 6euro every month helps keeps the server running.
when it doesn't, i wont play.
because it wont be here.

A lot of players in the game are psychopath want to bees. I assure you that although many of us are weak in the game we aren't weak in real life. Some may believe that after a collapse scenario (which is likely to happen) they will be able to prey on the weak, but that isn't going to happen.
