About tent, safe house and rangers perk

A question...
I have a tent. I took the Ranger perk. What happens if I use a folded tent inside my tent? She (tent location) turn into a safe house location and all that was in the box disappear? or all of what was in the box will be transferred? or nothing happens?
I ask because they are too lazy to remove all the equipment from the box and move into the Brahmin

I think you can't use folded tent inside your old tent location (not sure about this)

Edit: If it would work, all your items would disappear from old tent.

If you want keep your items, you should use some time to move them safe.

Gather all your stuff, then use tent management to abandon tent. Once you abandon it, it will be back in your inventory and you can place it again as a safe house.

You can't make a tent inside a tent. Therefore, that means that if you try and do that you have the risk of losing your items.

I suggest you get a brahmin, load your stuff into it and abandon that tent.

Then go ahead and make your new house.

I had a regular tent, packed it up and re-deployed it after I took the Ranger perk, BOOM safehouse.

You have to pack it up and re-deploy it, you cannot deploy a new tent/safehouse where one is already placed.
