Just having a bit of difficulty making money to do things so any tips are welcomed :)

bartering is fastest way to get caps, just grab some loot or craft something and check which shops are buying it and sell it

Another effective way, which requires even less brain power, is farming Junk, Xander Roots & Brocflowers, or even Chemical components and selling them to other players.

Why don't you try to sell the beer on radio, because I doubt the good players rather keep clicking in dialog instead of paying for it all at once.

Or the really good players might even use the say button to buy as many as they like all at once...

Kill other players whilst they craft or travel - and scoop the loot. I haven't farmed since may 2015

Another very effective method of making caps is to register nick names and sell that to other players. For the unique nick name you can score a 5m jackpot. 8)
