will a loner be able to get top tier items after the wipe?
best weapon I have found from footlocker hunting is a Gatling laser.

I know there are places to get a bozar or PA, but it takes a group.

Footlockers and caves will never be a source of rare top items because it's safe and easy thing to do.
You can get some from special enco, ok, but due to it's low rate of encountering you can't treat it as a solid source.

So far you could get (and you still can) countless rare items even as bleusuit from reno/warehouse.

No, there are people going there alone and getting rare loot out of there. And I'm not talking about bluesuits now but people who gear up and go there ready to fight some small groups of enemies or in case of warehouse/v15 some npc.

If you wanna get do something alone - learn to fight.
If you are a bad fighter - get some friends.
You will not get free stuff for bluesuits after wipe (at least I really hope so).

It takes time to gear up and hold a position.

If you bring a light arm you can kill all the blue suits but heavy gear takes too long to prepare and doing so gets legions of elite fighters up on your arse.

At Reno its more profitable when you aren't in a group to be a fighting bluesuit.

If they're is an elite group camping then there's no dislodging them alone. I've fought my share but RT PVP build wins in RT.

Honestly the Reno locker is the only way for a loner to get rare items outside of trade and Special encounters. I like it cause at the same time a pro could just camp to prevent us loners but for whatever reason they don't often enough.

Don't blame the blue suits for taking good items blame yourself for not killing them.

I have been here since 8/31/13.
lots of alts for different uses.
I would never expect to find power armor, and keep it, as a blue suit.
but during cave hunting you can find caves that have 6 or more deathclaws.
in a small cave coming at you all at once.
rare items should be rare.
and I agree.
but not impossible for a single player.
items in caves are worn out.
what is the condition of PA out of a TC locker?
I have no clue.
but there should be a rare chance to get a rare item, without a crew, out of the wastes.

And there is, from Special Encounter. Possible for one player, totally random so it can't be farmed by that single player.

Yep. My friend was geared up, level 14, found a vertibird solo. I think he cocked up the lock on it though, he won't even let me near it.
