This looks like abusing "companion" feature which shows as "Wastelander" on worldmap. Especially that it's done on sneak. It can easily trick anyone into thinking that it's just a companion who follows him.

I advised this player to:
1) stop this behavior, OR
2) request a nick change.

If none of these are met, then ban/jail is inevitable. I hope it's clear.

Use in a nickname the word a "Wastelander" is abuse?
That is, if I make a nickname a - "Wastelander of Fallout", you will ban is character?

Nope, I think it need to be "Wastelander" and nothing else extra with it to get character banned or name changed.

Edit: What about names "Brahmin" and "Mercenary" I think they could be used for this same exploit also?

Why you needed warning system in sound signal+chat message?
Just make a rule with restricted nicknames and delete warning signal

Wastelander, Mercenary, Slave, Brahmin, Rat, Dog are names of NPC followers. Would be nice if they were not available to players. The name just shouldn't be exactly the same.

Or they could be changed to something similar, but with not allowed characters like: #Wastelander, #Mercenary, #Slave, #Brahmin, #Rat, #Dog. That way one would know if it is NPC or PC following him.

On the side note: Good Job Wastelander/Brahmins

I would also add that this looks like a bug, since the warning message is displayed even when only NPCs follow you, so players with followers often disregard that message and don't check their parties.

I thought it was a bug with grathic engine or something =))) Couse i had 1 npc follower with me, and i saw second but i was thinking that it is game error.

Funny thing is, he tried to sneak tag my dad AGAIN just a couple of hours ago. Man can't you take a warning?

Is this exploit reported before? Have you guys used +requesthelp and told Kilgore or DocAN about this?

If you haven't please do so now.

Edit: Do you have link to this report or does it exist anymore?

Do you think I'm retarded? Of course I did. He actually requested me to write a full report on what happened, so I did. Sad thing is, I doubt he even read it.

Whoever has the character "wastelander". I'm giving you one chance to return my car and stuff. If not Then I'm pretty sure I'm done with this game. I'm not going to farm another 3 weeks to get blasted by unfriendly bursters following me to my tents and killing me with 2 bursts while I have 278 hp with adrenaline rush and 55% dmg resistance.

Omg... Its your fault. It's even 2 mistakes from you actually.
1. You didn't notice him. Definitely your mistake
2. You made a "main" tent near the city. Definitely your mistake.
Such situations supposed to teach you, not to ragequit. But its your choice, good bye.

Yeah I'd have to say even though Wastelander is exploiting with that name, I still wouldn't return Merlin's stuff just because of the way he acted about it.
