I have some problems with lazy / bugged slaves. And a little one with Merc.
I've a mine and three slaves there. Two of them I bought, third I cached in wastelands.
- problem 1 When I order slaves to "dig some ore" for me, they only sometimes do they work properly. The problem is that most of the times they seem very inefficient. For example, over last 6 hours (real time) they extracted only 16 ore per slave. I've fed them with jet just before ordering them to mine, and they are relatively new (1-3 days). Only once since I started mine (I had some other slaves before as well) they were loaded with ~ 300 pieces of ore after 18 real hours or so. A friend of mine says he extracts those amounts over each real night. Those bastards usually don't do anything and just stay in the entrance of mine staring at the wall. My guess is that it is routing problem, slaves can't calculate where they should go and what to do - possibly caused by some specific mine map configuration. It seems that "Stop all actions" through quick access sometimes help to reset them.
- problem 2 another thing is that I find it very difficult to communicate with them. Most of the time they are unable to talk with me, text box shows "They seem to be busy. Speak to them later". The only fix I know is to use quick access (ALT+LMB) and choose "Stop all actions" - then I can speak to them.
- problem 3 yet another thing is that they disappear from mine every once in a while and I have to exit and re-enter the location, so they start to follow me. But that's minor problem. Surprising thing is that when they disappear and reappear later, they are in follow mode despite they were set to mine ore.
- idea of thing to add: if you kill one of your slaves in front of the other slave, the one that survived should have regained his "morale". He should be threatened by this situation.
- question: is there any difference in efficiency of a slave as a miner depending on slave's stats?
- problem 4 Regarding merc, I could not find dialog option to order merc to guard a location. Whatever I say he always follows me. Even if I have not enough PP (I ate Mentats to get a merc). The merc was a HtH ghoul from Gecko.
I hope i made myself clear, but if you have any questions, please PM me.
If any of admins want's to take a look, check mine owned by character Teddy Gonzales, however as I said the problem does not occur every time.
Looking forward for help / fix.
