Faction Announcements / ...:: The Sapphire Serpents ::...
« on: February 22, 2014, 07:35:53 pm »Faction Type: Hand-to-Hand, Close Combat, and combatants in general.
Motivation: We are motivated by Close Combat. Whether it be a knife or preferably your fists. Along with the advancement of our organization, we take in new members and support them.
Leadership: For now this will be led by myself F3AR420 (Lord Oink in-game)
Purpose: I've created the group to assist newer players who are considering or already are close-combat and/or hand-to-hand. Mostly we will be grouping to travel, fight, and eventually compete against others.
Location: The Hub and surrounding areas for now.
Requirements: As of right now there is only two requirements, Activity and Participation. Later on there will be more.

cool yeah, and the hub isn't really newbie friendly yet. I think newbie zones should be a no-steal zone to prevent predators from stalking them for their caps etc.

I'd like to say thank you to everyone who took the time to help me, I do love this game and once the road is paved it'll be easier. Thanks for helping me see that it happens to everyone. Kinda felt like i was being gang-beat.
It's nice to find people who nurture the game and it's new players. Some people on games just kill all the newbies for fun. Which i don't completely understand.

Thanks for the response, i couldn't find the quest that reveals NCR yet. I've traveled to junktown and other towns. Gun runners etc. I have the tent quest completed and use my tent regularly. The problem is people kill me to take my caps, before i ever get the chance to make it to the bank.

I've been playing for four days now and i've been killed numerous times can't find a decent group of mobs to kill without being blown to bits. I'm not complaining at all because i love this game, but this game isn't really newbie friendly.
My suggestion is as follows,
Possibly a couple more starting quests or something with a little action in it other than carrying boxes and finding fruit.
For new players who come they are excited to play but get a slap in the face after a couple days because it takes them a whole day plus losing their equipment/weapons three to four times a day. How are you suppose to progress in level if people are constantly killing you to steal your newbie weapons and caps?
I've done the starter quests many times and each time i get my caps stolen, along with my armor and my weapons and even my 500+ tobacco leaves that have been taken from me.
I like the game but its too hard for a new player to advance far enough to be an old player. Should be easier to get to level 9 to start on caravan quests etc. Or am i the only person with this problem?

If their easy to kill than lower the caps reward, i love the idea. +2
(How do i get those green boxes in your siggy? that say your name level etc.)

I think it would be cool to be able to have at some point in time, it's not really beneficial but the idea is cool.
