So I picked up my first companion at the JT casino a bit ago. Her special is 9 6 8 6 9 10 9 and she loves grenades. Is it normal for companions to have stats this high?
Anyway it's hilarious. I'm training her around the hub and the most damage she takes is from exploding herself.
So yeah, discuss your companions.

Yes its normal for them to have high stats, but only stats that matter are agility and endurance. Rest don't matter.

I have 2 companions, one BG and other energy. They both have good special, and pretty nice against NPCs.

Throw is not really good to have, I suggest to drop her and find an EW, SG, or BG companion. oh, and find one with 10 endurance

I have a merc super mutant and he never attacks anyone. I tell him to do so and he doesn't. Even when I attack. Is it a bug?

If I have mercs protecting a tent and someone gets a hold of a map to that tent. Will the merc then attack that person or is it they are now counted as a friend?

It was not due to companions, who were fine, but with the slaves.

People started to make builds with 8-10 mercs/slaves, all with rocket launchers, and swarmed with them  ;D
It was fun at the beginning, but then it was ruining the fun (a bit like turbo plasma atm i guess), so followers were disabled on pvp (a shame for companions though)

As in people leaving them behind to guard the place while they do other things? In places like Reno. Wouldn't the counter to that simply to have it so you can't leave companions, even slaves in locations other then bases and mines.

I hope they bring back companions being able to attack other players. They are pretty much useless in PVE. I want them to protect my bases.

Another thing that could be done is that is that they can attack other players only in bases, thus being base protection again.
