Didn't think of that. Say person enslaved has to carry x Kg of mats to drop off point in a slave area. Low St players would take longer to complete task.  Would bring new dimension to town control as would keep enslaved player from rejoining battle. As well as other areas of the game as you would not be able to simply murder another player but would have to drop to negative hp. i.e. would take far more finesse to pull off.

Perhaps, enslavement could be tiered. Higher level of character the more that would need to be completed to obtain freedom. You could simply sell off other players to an npc or pay have team mates pay a ransom depending on level of enslaved in order to obtain caps.

Mechanics same as normal slavery. Exception would be that the person being enslaved would have to do some bullshit, like working  at a mine or chopping down trees for ten minutes. Person who enslaved would be given some kind of benefit in the form of money or materials.

Maybe just a run of bad luck. I was setting off two to three traps per footlocker but it seems to have adjusted to a more reasonable level.

I like the idea. It would make things more interesting. Speaking from the point of view of a man who doesnt have the time to spend leveling a character, buying a full set implants to pvp and beside ping being poor. It would definitely spice things up. People go to towns when they want to. Fo2 tried to get people into towns by having craft benches only available in towns but it only serves to annoy. If you look at world of Warcraft, arguably the most successful mmorpg, a lot of the player interaction happens via players banding together to attack npc populated dungeons.

This will happen no matter what and shouldn't be used as the excuse not to. PVP will exploit every possible means to win, in some cases even to the point of cheating simply to get that edge. For PVE this would make the game more enjoyable. I'm not sure how would be change for RP.

I think if this were the case Bang Bang Smash would still be a faction.  I came back once and remember PVP factions fleeing like roaches from a light when something else opened up leaving only The Iron Hand in control of Wasteland with 5 faction members and no one to fight. I came back again and saw the new gang "The Khans"  doing TB traps around Hub. The only PVP player I remember being online with solid continuity is Seki, but he's on every server. I imagine him as either a computer science engineer, a lottery winner or a guy who lost everything except his mouse clicking finger in the war. Fact is people come in and out due to real life, babies, work, school etc. and it is the easier option of having a group of pvp players fast level you so that they can PVP successfully.
