companions missing

My companions are gone and they are still holding my PartyPoints so i cannot find some new companions
what should I Do? or is it possible to recover my companions ?

check all tents/safehouses owned by that character and faction bases that is affiliated with that char.

Relog on worldmap and check if they are with you in party. I got similar error with slaves,  I couldnt find them but when I relog they appeared in party.

still cant fix it

can i simply remove them from my partypoint?

Yes ~disbandparty or command like that. Check in game help f1.
