Hello! I am a bit confused about a a quest from the new tutorial. Thunder Joe, the Armorer of the vault outpost wants you to craft some ammo, including 300 rounds of 5mm JHP. As far as I've seen you can't craft this just like that and it requires Gunsmith profession. Is there some way to obtain that during the tutorial?

It's a bug. I actually had to make an alt and check the real requirements. He tells you them correctly the first time. It's 200 .44 JHP, 200 Shotgun shells and 50 10mm JHP

1hexing was the only way a smaller team could fight a bigger one in smaller places. i hope grenade launchers at least still broken as fuck with their 5 ap usage, 3 magazine and 6 hex explosion radius, so i can make a 14 ap stonewall tank again.

I'm on the side of those who think that the worse change made on this session is the No Drop on death. It's one of the main features that make fonline a very exciting game.

For balance reason: with this feature PvP will have sense only in top gear because you just can't deprive stated top stuff from 10 guys control some town in HPA with bozars in arms, you need get gear in other way, before you can try have fair fight, not directly in PvP win(noobs only lose from this feature, they will must fight with top geared players and even if they win - no reward for this);
May be i just stupid blind piece of shit, but i still don't see any pluses provided by this feature in alltime gameplay. There is no so awesome world for endless exploring PvE stuff enjoy safe play. As i already post: i respect lot of devs work and still prefer this server to play(don't need recommend me do something else, we talking about FOnline reloaded gameplay here, not about ability to not play), but i hope this experimental feature just unsuccessful experiment and will be corrected in further.
Scrapped it for now, people complained about 9mm ammo being useless but you can disassemble it now.

It means that it's not a support perk but nornal perk you take while you are leveling character.
It's a little mistake in changelog... In S2 it was leveling perk with 2 ranks, at some point of developing S3 Pyromaniac was changed to suppprt perk and some time ago it was changed back to leveling perk with 1 rank and % damage instead of flat damage bonus.
So a little bug in changelog ;p

3rd session: sharpshooter + gain Luck (or IN)

Just out of interest, why are we sometimes forced into player encounters now? I don't remember that being a thing before s3 but I can't see it mentioned anywhere in the patch notes.
Changelog is only partial and doesn't include many changes
- Character level is now visible for all players;just small note, you have to examine other player to see his level
- Character can have more than 10 tents;what means more then 10 ? is there some other cap or its unlimited now ?

No drop feature serves great purpose to loners, small groups, casual players and madmax wannabes, struggling to gather some decent gear, and these support it.
No drop feature bothers organized groups with loads of spare gear everywhere, participating in massive (20-30+ people at once) fights, including TC, and these are against it.
So bearing in mind technical problems that may occur and necessary testing, to keep as much people as possible happy no drop could be removed while TC fight is going on in town and/or in certain locations, purely designed for big organized groups. Removing it completely from unguarded towns will result in same old story again - deserted locations barely anyone visits.
It's the opposite.I consider myself a loner and a casual too, and for me this feature is a massive favor, helping me to save loads of time I'd normally spend gathering stuff (which is fun as dental treatment without painkiller). As far as I know only AoP have tried that feature before, but since thier popularity is close to none (server based on PvP, weird huh?), the jazz about this hasn't been heard community wide.
I'm a loner and a casual, yet no drop does not serve me. No drop serves those who don't like full loot, but I do like it, even if I loose more than gain, if I gain at all. The suspense has been integrated out of the game for me.
No drop should serve organized groups with lots of spare gear everywhere much more, as they get more fights and less gear, but since they got lots of gear, that's not an issue.By simple math any organized group will be able to get more and better gear than small group or lone wolf. So for these big groups items are not a problem no matter what rules and restrictions are applied to the server. They never were, any feature put in place to stop items overflooding the Wasteland hurts loners only.
Regardless, this full loot change is only a switch if I am correct, the real changes were the content added, and that, due to the nature of the game and the players who plays this, cannot be upheld, like it takes 2 years to generate content for 1 week ~ 1 month, only for people to cry about a switch: No drop.Content like quests or features last for a limited period, as you've noticed. Niche of FOnline is full of rotten stagnant smell and same faces over and over. You meet someone and first thought is "who's alt is this?". Newcomers are coming and fleeing soon after with a ragequit, not much of a fresh air in this swamp. I'm really not sure if current no loot carebear feature does the trick in a longer period, but I'll love to see what happens. Just out of curiosity.

No drop on = 50% exp. No drop off = 100% exp...So for the sake of saving time (leveling quicker) you'd expect people to spend more time (gathering pixels to replace dropped gear)? How's that suppose to work?

Last, what to do: do a "blessing", every character can "bless" one item in his inventory. This can be changed freely at any time, but just one item at a time. That's it - number says it all. 2017 January it was 88 average and 2016 102 average players. And it was with season that lasted long time. I spoked with two friends I've played S1 and S2 if they still play and response was "no lot - no thanks" in both cases. Also we spoke about crafting and junk usage (I don't mind it). basically, I logged onto forums to see If I was wrong. If I would see same +/- number of average players It would mean me being pissed-off for no loot system is just pure ranting and I didn't understood changes. but seeing playerbase dropped by 70% shows clearly that that was Bad decision. Pity, becuase I still wanted to play the game with new features...

Depends on the goals they've set for themselves. None of us can tell for sure. Having a server with narrow pool of players, focused on killing geckos and shit, could be the goal as well.
I come back for one day and see that FOnline has turned into Toilet land.
