Bunker Upgrade Program.
« on: July 17, 2015, 02:05:10 am »
You've bought a bunker. Go to the construction foreman:
"Me and my, uh, "friends" would like to upgrade our base."
"Ok, well that'll cost you (TBD by devs or whoever)."

"Too steep for me right now (exit)."
"Here's your money."

"Ok, take this workman and show him the base."
You get there.

"This is it."
"This? I]m not sure it's worth the money."
"Just get to work and shut the fuck up."

A 'few days' later, you have a nice new bunker front. Three fruit trees, a barley garden, fiber plants, Brahmin but no butcher table, a tent with a workbench, a wall and a gate that actually only opens for authorized members of the faction. With sharp pointing things outside.

I would support this, Khan Totem Polls outside!

Nice idea, I think adding and or upgrading bases to make them more better and or different for security is essential. Shouldn't make it cheap either.

Bunkers need to be placable just like DIY bases. The whole random base location thing needs to go entirely.
Also, i'd love to see slaves being capable of working at a Bunker.

Got a figure in mind? One that's NOT as much as the bunker itself.

Built by who? Bunkers require a lot of heavy equipment, equipment that isn't around anymore. Otherwise, humanity would have rebuilt a long time ago.
The abilty to rebuild the full bunker....... well, that's another discussion.....
Also, i'd love to see slaves being capable of working at a Bunker.
Expolitable. Kilgore will never agree to that.

I see the issue with it being exploitable. Just gotta live with having your slaves one hexed at mines I guess.

Though buildable bunkers is one of the things where i'd say gameplay > realism. Bunkers are otherwise not exactly that popular to buy since they are expensive and their location is pretty bad. Same with caves really, their location should be choosable.

...and base empty because the new map was generated.

Can't speak for EVERYONE, but I'd HOPE most of us would have enough sense to get it squared away first......

Maybe a warning, like when you're about to abandon a camp....
"This it?"
"Ya."
"Ok, but first you need a clear everything out."
"Huh?"
"We come through here, any thing's left gets crushed, destroyed, or used up. Especially any beer."

'Como Kil, it's worth it JUST for the beer line alone. ;)

As long you want to add walls/roofs/scenery answer always* will be no; stick to items only and you'll have a bit higher chance to convince anyone.

*until there will be known way to add these elements runtime

Would unlocking the elevator to a sub basement be a "map" edit?

Maybe you have to buy an key from some guy, or find a part or something for a serious of upgrades downstairs.
