Hello Wastelanders!

I'm in dire need of assistance.

Are any of You doing the main quest ? I'm stuck at part where i need to access Vault 8 computer. There is a hint that maybe i can do it without entering the Vault 8. Problem is that i allredy got access to Vault 8, checked all active and non active computers there and none seems to be the right one to connect PipBoy to.

I searched high and low surrounding areas and I have no idea where I'm supposed to go.
Someone got a clue ?

You need to access terminal in Information Center.

Far West in SF. When you enter the city head West into the abandoned looking building area. You'll find a Mysterious Stranger.

i hate this quest. i'm stuck at ncr paying 12k again to purchase funny coins the third time and call my overseer, again. the last time i smartly told him that i killed his son. i'm looking foward to speak him again.

this is like the ~20th step in the quest. i'm done.

I have been stuck at Hub. I cant read my mail at the post office. When i ask about mail he then ask me about my name and there is only one answer: MY WHAT?! HOW DARE YOU!!! THATS PRIVATE INFORMATION!!!

I went to the Information Center and clicked on the terminal, also tried science/etc.

Nothing happened.

I chose Wacky Wasteland, does that mess it up?

I have same problem with terminal in VC. I only get message "This appears to be working computer" and nothing else. I dont have Wacky Wastelands

Same situation as me. I've tried it with multiple characters and nothing happens. Is there something else I need to do before accessing that computer?

It's at the one with your character going NOO YOU BASTARD after you friend from the vault was shot. I'll upload a screen when the servers aren't down.

I dont know, peoples, are u fucking stupid, or u literally can't read properly?
|U have EVERYTHING in quest log, read it again, put it on translator, if u dont understand english. Where u have written, that u need go to Vault City from that point?

That's what it says on the wiki for that quest.
Other than that, I have no idea how to get to vault 12. Where exactly is it? The description for Necropolis mentions vault 12, but I've searched the whole place and haven't found a vault entrance anywhere.

If you know what you have to do, could you please explain it to us who are having trouble?

Okay I just found out that I failed A tent in the wasteland, but I dont know how since I killed all rats, returned, got tent and met that chick who gave me quest and then exploded, thats kinda weird

Bug, I had same story.
 Completed Tent In The Wasteland, and I had even info in pip-boy about it.
When location of tent and house with rats vanished from WM, my status in pip-boy changed to failed-quest.

Where is Councilwoman McClaire?

I can't get into the Council Building in Vault City, even as a Citizen.

I searched all other buildings.

Where is she?

I'm stuck.

Due to NoDrop, I just keep 100k on me, and the rest in a tent in case I wander into a looting zone.

So I've got a few more questions about things that happen toward the end of the main quest, but they contain spoilers:

I'm at the point where I'm joining the Brotherhood of Steel and NCR together to fight the Enclave, and the links to Fallout 3 have been revealed. My character was also told that they'll have to leave California within a few years. Is this something that'll actually remove my character from the game when I complete it?

EDIT: Nevermind, got to the end of the current part of the main campaign only to be left on a cliffhanger!

it ends right here. If you have Wacky Wasteland you cannot continue and you get stuck at this part with no possible work around.

The only option is to reroll and do not speak to the sick guy in the tent at the very beginning.

I had to reroll too.

seems like a lot of players are confused and pipboy is getting bugged sometime not showing where to continue, if players dont read chat log then they may end up getting lost
would be perfect if someone would make step-by-step guide with screenshots of NPC locations included (i believe in you, Henry  ;D)

Its not about pipboy or something like that, its about quest itself, when u dont get LITERALLY ANY tips what do to next. "Go to Redding", and thats all, run like fucktard around whole town talking to literally everyone. Next thing to do, go give letter to that Council. U have 0 tips about that, that u need go to bank, literally theres NO LOGICAL WAY u could guess that u need to go there, from the text u get after talking to that dude in redding, u only hope is just running around, and talking to literally everyone. Same thing about Brotherhood storyline. This quest are very poorly written.

I got to the Enclave sending a squad after me. I went to the location and got killed then called it a night.

When I log in now the yellow circle for the encounter is gone.

How do I continue this quest?

I've gotten to the part that I need to upload the virus in San Francisco but I don't know which computer to use. I clicked all of them in the emperor facility and nothing happens. Can someone tell me which computer do I have to use? Thanks

Now I feel dumb since I paid Ken Lee like 3 times to go to the advanced workbench thinking it was there, and I was checking almost all VDU (except that one). Thank you very much, I must buy you a cold one at the Maltese Falcon  :D
