This idea is strange at best, bad and strange.
Marriage should be something, well special? I guess. And tell me what will happen when it gets implemented?
Will be married, whole gangs will be married to each other just to have some edge. In time e..(enough with the gif) everybody will be married to something, and it'll be as standard as 1CH chars.
You want to marry someone? I'll rp with you, I'll be the priest: "I pronounce you, husband and wife. You can burst the bride..."

and then after you get married, you can mate with your spouse and pop out a few companions based on both of your stats. bonus stats and lowered fornication cd for those with the kama sutra master perk

to serve what purpose? is fun idea, but if spouse not play, then what? if marriage not work?
those saying "no gay" I play boy. if my character marry girl, played by girl, is gay or straight? girl played by boy?
I not happy to gay marriage, but not care so much... but this idea, not so good... too many needless complications for little gaining. much better for to fix ongoing problems, maybe come back in some years.
