I can see a cave of sort with a red half block size big HQ Firehouse in it. Like the lost Ghostbusters HQ buiding with those jelly green floating things.

Who you gonna call?

Another encounter could be a few guys sitting at a table playing PnP. These guys should be the devs. One is the DM and the others argue amongst themselves about whats going to happen next. If the Rangers linger and listen to the conversation the GM guy rolls a d20 and say: "i summon (depending on the roll) this (Wasteland 2 specific creature)" and that creature summons and attack the Rangers.

Another encounter could be a casino/arcade hall where the Rngers could gamble for gear. Roll a d20 and bet gear currently in their possession. Win and they get the same item they betted. Could also be a character there offering to sell manipulated dices. Maybe a side quest to get one for free. If you get caught using them guards are summoned. If not, well good luck to ya.

Another one could be a hospital where people you have failed to save recuperate. Say you saved AG Center, then people from Highpool will be there cursing you. If you saved Highpool scientist from AG Center will let you know you are plant food.

Another one could be an Olympic size swimming pool where people compete.

Another one could be a zombie apocalypse shooting range. Before you start you will have to choose how many waves of zombies you want. No refund on the bullets used.

Another one could be an Insane asylum where the warden talks about some of the wacky ideas not making it into the game. While some people run around rambling, arguing jumping at shadows.

Another one could be a TV station where the player gets to be in a quiz "show". (Questions are about Wasteland lore). If the player lose, X number wrong answers, one random character gets imprisoned. A quest to get that guy out is at hand. Multiple ways to do that of course. If the player wins, answer all the questions correctly, one character could be allowed to redistribute the aquired skill points.

Another one could be a military base where the player could make and modify ammunitions. That includes experimenting with the components.

Another one could be a Zoo where the player could use the speach skill on the animals and have them do preset tricks.

Another one could be a gas station, with a recruitable mechanic type of NPC.

Another one could be a bank robbery in progress. What do you do? Kill everyone and rob the bank yourself? Talk the robbers down and turn them in at the nearest police station for a bounty? Do you kill the robbers and loot them?

Another one could be a satellite dish. If you use the control panel to turn it around you get to hear sounds of different planets and stars.

http://www.nasa.gov/vision/universe/fea ... ounds.html

Pulsar sounds.

Our Sun.

Another one could be a mansion with this Tony "Scarface" Montana guy greeting the Rangers with the " You wanna fuck with me? Okay. You wanna play rough? Okay. Say hello to my little friend!".

Another one could be a diner with these two former corporate CEOs talking about how they ripped the system off. If the player decide to stay and listen they could reveal their safe house with a "X mark the spot" on the world map. Arrest them and turn them in at the Citadel for a bounty or kill them for the loot.

Another one could be a busted armored car with two heavyily fortified guards. Help them or rob them?

Another one could be a pharmacy, where you can buy and sell painkillers. Only.

Another one could be a recruitable NPC burried neck deep in the middle of the desert.

Another one could be a golf green with a guy playing golf with his caddy.

Another one could be a icecream truck. No vanilla though.

Another one could be a train station building with a wall of deposit boxes. Some of the boxes shouldnt have anything and some should have sand which drops to the floor when you open the box. Other types of loot is up for grabs.

Another one could be a talking ATM machine. If the player investigate then a guy is trapped inside it. To get him out of there is one thing, to get him to join the Ranger sqaud quite another.

Another one could be a patch of ice and snow in the middle of the desert. With two guys arguing about its origin. One guy is an environmentalist and blame global warming the other one is a prophet and call it a post apocalyptic event.

Another one could be a crossroad with a car accident (taxi cab and an ambulance). A cab driver and a paramedic takes cover behind their cars arguing whos fault it was shooting at eachother.

Another one could be a guy mowing a lawn.

Another one could be a guy selling tickets to a suicide booth.

Another one could be the two FBI-agents Dana Scully och Fox Mulder approaching the Rangers looking for the truth behind the unsolved cases involving paranormal phenomena.

Another one could be FEMA helping two homeless guys.

Another one could be a minefield. The entire map is a minefield except for the Ranger spawning spot. Big sign read:"Warning! Minefield!". Only way out is on the other side.

Another one could be a postal office with a recruitable speach oriented NPC.

Another one could be a seemingly empty canyon, though, with a high enough perception/awareness an entrance to a hidden bunker is revealed.

Another one could be an abandoned police station. (Riot shields).

Another one could be an uboat at the bottom of a dried out man made lake, with the captain still guarding it. Complaining about past times. With a successful speach check a near by hidden naval base is revealed.

Another one could be about a raider gang testing rocket ammo types on pedestrians.

Another one could be about local mobsters wanting you to take care of business for them. X marks the spot on the world map.

Another one could be about a haunted motel. (The haunting only happens during the night time hours).

Another one could be about ascended masters. Offering insight and enlightenment regarding healing and leadership through the lens of love, compassion and forgiveness. One character free of choice gets to increase either the Field Medic, Surgeon, Leadership or Perception skill by one. Depending on the outcome of the conversation.

Another one could be about a guy trading organs. For scientific porpuses....

Another one could be about a family running a saloon/grocery store. Two boys and three girls. If you talk to them and get them to open up and tell you about their businesses, they will tell you that the saloon isnt going very well. Infact the boys have to travel some, meet people, kill them, in order to have something to sell at the grocery store. Thus financing their pride and joy the saloon. (could be a side quest to help them out of this situation. Or offer protection in a financial deal).

Another one could be a brothel with alot of swag walk.

Another one could be a federal building with washing machines full of money. Heavily guarded by turrets and robots.

Another one could be an international arms dealer. (Yeah all sorts of foreign weapons).

Another one could be a recruitable NPC laying in the gutter all blood and vomit. (Melee specialist...among other things).

I think it would be good if there were a few different types of escaped convicts scenarios. With recruitable NPC in one or two of them.

Another one could be a hostage situation. (Could also be different types of hostage situations. Desperados with ransom note. Demolition with clues etc).

Another one could be to help old folk cross the street. They ask nicely of course, but if you start walking they open fire on you.

Another one could be a graveyard with lootable graves.

Another one could be a canyon where the Rangers experience an earthquake.

Another one could be about a sniper in an urban environment, killing anything within his field of vision. If the Rangers get close to him they should be able to interrogate him. Multiple options on what to do, one should be to recruit him.

Another one could be about a recruitable NPC fishing with TNT sticks. (Dundee type). Yeah TNT sticks should be in the game.

Another one could be about a skeleton sitting in a chair laughing in a house. If the Rangers investigate it they will eventually know its a small frame thief that rigged it trying to scare everyone off so he can loot the home undisturbed. That thief could be a recruitable NPC.

Another one could be about rabid dogs terrorising people.

Another one could be about a recruitable janitor NPC. Melee specialist.

Another one could be about an alcoholic sucidal private eye, recruitable NPC . Animal whisperer (K-9 unit officer), Computer Tech, Alarm Disarming, Perception expert.

Another one could be about a telepathic hermit. Everything said to him he replies "i knew youd say that".

Another one could be a gated car park, with lockpickable cars. Would be fun if some of them had NPCs in them (homeless people sleeping). So, if you successfully opened the door he/she steps out (spawns) and hand you an ass whooping.

Another one could be 50 zombiefied desperate housewives at a supermarket, fighting over cookie dough.

Another one could be a sandstorm whipped desolate place where you meet characters with name and numbers matching the player characters.

Another one could be a forest map of sort with pitfalls in it. The Rangers fall down into an underground installation where they have to figure out a way out. Not entirely free of danger and puzzles.

Another one could be a pack of dogs. if you have the animal whisperer skill you could get a quest of sort.

Another one could be an apocalypse surviving recruitable drill sergeant NPC, in a wheelchair. All the weapons handed to him/her gets strapped onto the armrests of the wheelchair.

This type of a drill sergeant...

Another one could be about a recruitable Mary-Sue and/or Marty-Stu character set out to liberate the world from themselves.

Yeah, need a recruitable chef guy. Dirty Harry with a frying pan type. Would be nice if that chef could make some simple types of food (AG Center ingredients) that restores some hps that doesnt need the Field Medic skill. Could also grant a "well fed" timed buff.

Another one could be a random wasteland map with an experienced wastelander with a story to tell. During the lengthy conversation the heads of the Rangers explode like a blood sausage.

Just as there are oasises there should aslo be contaminated ones.

This game needs a recruitable Italian grease monkey with a fetishism for TNT sticks NPC. (This guy should be able to throw any wrench he finds).

A recruitable dual wielding SMG gunslinging Mexican NPC. (This guy uses twice as much ammo as normal, but in ambush mode he can shoot at two mobs instead of one. Has a 25% reduced chance to hit but do 50% more damage due to the dual wielding. This guy cant use a secondary weapon and are stuck with SMG type weapons).

Another one could be a solar panel farm, with a power converter, where you can recharge energy cell ammo. If you have found depleated ammo cases that is.

A recruitable unemployed zamboni driver NPC with a goalie stick and mask.

A recruitable jeweler thats a safecracker specialist.

Another one could be a NRA convention. The entry fee is wielding an exotic firearm. I suggest a water gun.

Another one could be a windmill with people tied down on the windmill blades. Aiding them in this situation should be possible. One of them could also be a recruitable NPC. Pacifist scholar should fit the description.

Another one could be a malfunctioning tesla coil, stunning random Ranger periodically. In order to be able to leave the map you need to find a way to shut it off.

Another one could be a guy selling fake ingame cheat codes.

I bet that a lot of these would be added, when you show the maps and scripts for encounters. Otherwise, kilgore is a bit busy to do them.

BOS, Enclave, and NCR all patrol the ENTIRE map. somewhat rare to find, but omnipresent like modern fallout games.

I'd like to see bounty hunters in more city map areas, and use combat MKII or even a unique edition of Combat Armor like the Desert Hunters.

I'd also like to see more special encounters that are just interesting, like finding an oasis in the wasteland, or statue to some mythical god of rock.
In Maintenance Mode.

How about first we put more of the original special encounters (modified for FOnline of course) from Fallout 1 and 2? That would be nice.

Rare ghost encos in city ruins.
Ghosts: 200 hp, 25 ac, can only use hands/fists, 12 aps. 10 xp to kill them.

10% chance of raising a ghost if you dig up a grave, villagers WON'T attack you if you hit them, but they are harder (double hp?). They can be "reasoned" with if you put "it" (whatever it was) back and close the grave.

I like the idea of ghosts...make it a flare fallout. Ghosts walking around bodies arguing and whining.
