Item image modification
« on: May 09, 2015, 04:33:59 pm »
Dear forum members, I am interested in the mod world since couple of years, ive already done some previous projects for other games.

I would like to know how is it possible to change the image of an item. There is an example here http://forum.fonline-reloaded.net/index.php?topic=6920 from jarok where he succesfully did it.

Open your Fonline folder. Go to Data -> Open up Faction.rar.

This contains all the image files. You can alter them all you want to make your own custom looking stuff in your game.

Hot stuff with elven girls.
Now seriously, that archive contains ALL any graphic editor will want.

For extracting graphics from .dat files use datexplorer.

For browsing tons of .FRM files untill you see the one you need - use Titanium FRM Browser. Could be added via regfile to windows explorer, so it'll recognize .FRM files and will open it on leftclicks.

For editing .FRMs there is Frame Animator.
Usage is simple - you open .FRM needed to be edited, then you save the project in some folder. After that, go into that folder, you'll see project file and .bmp file. Open last one with any graphics editing software you like (I suggest Photoshop, Paint.Net or Gimp), edit it, save. After that, open project file with Frame Animator and then save project as .FRM whereever you want.

Feel free to ask me if help with graphics stuff is needed.
