Are there any prerequisites/restrictions? Like no use of new factions, maps, nps or such?

Are there any prerequisites/restrictions? Like no use of new factions, maps, nps or such?

There is a lot of unused NPC which can give some quest, so try to use One of them.

When it comes to new factions, maps, npcs:

- new factions: if you have on mind some name like "Dirty Chicks" then You are free to create a story for this faction and set them somewhere in the FOnline Universe but if You want to create something bigger then make sure to do it right [background story, location with maps, etc]

- new maps: feel free to make quest with own maps, just make sure that they are good !

- new NPC: You can add new npc if You have to, but remember to write dialogs for them.


I also get a questions:

I want to know how tough it should be? - It can be any kind You want.

How many maps should it require? - It doesn't have to requier single map [example: NPC-X borrowed ITEM from NPC-Y] but You can make something more intresting ofc. if You can.

Can it be a storyline with unique locations? - Yes it can be, but You have to know that it will take a lot of work.

One short quest, or a short series of quests like in BoS? - It can be short quest or maybe something bigger like Enclave chain quest or something else.  [Right now im working on BoS Chain quest]

Do you prefer it begin from a known NPC in a public location, or from a 1-time place like "Tent in the Wasteland"? - I prefer to begin it from known NPC in a public locations.


If You have no ideas how to use DialogEditor and You are going to write dialogs in notepad:

NPC - Dude, give me some food ! I'm dying...

PC - Fuck You dude, I'm not working for red cross. [leave]
PC - I'll try to find you some meal. [quest taken]

NPC - You came back. [old man is wobbling on his feet] Do You have something for me?

PC - Yes, here take it. [You gave him some meat jerky]
PC - I have changed my mind, i won't help You. [quest failed]
PC - I just came to see if You are still alive. [leave]

FARM. Silly mutants farmers who love their centaur pigs?
Quest: can feed them food xander root, if a centaur starts to sing, loves you, and the farmer gives his to you as a partner. It will work like a dog. Good meat shield for new players. Sufficiently perverse?

I have done nothing to do with map making, But I plan on trying it out and if Im good at it then id be more then happy to do it!

Hire The Doctor (a quest)

You come across a doctor and his family who's cart is broken down.

Doctor: "Howdy stranger. Can you gimme a hand here?"
You:
"Nope, sorry. (exit.)"
"Sure. (Fix the cart.)"

Doctor: "Thank you kindly. Times is tough you know."
You: "Why, what's up?
Doctor: "Oh, I owe doctor andrews 50,000¤."
You: "Wow lotta money."
Doctor: "Yes, I'd like to rid of this debt."

You:
"Well that's a shame. Gotta go. (exit)"
"Hmmm. Maybe I can help- in exchange, you come work for us at (faction name)."
Doctor: "Well, that might work....."
You: "Ok. Let me go talk to Doc Andrews and see what he says."

Quest timer starts. You hsve 3 r/w days to complete it. Give Doc Andrews the money, report back to wandering doctor, and he joins your faction as a non-combat NPC, like a homesteader. If you are hurt, you can come to him for help for a very modest fee- less than half as much as any other doctor will charge. He will not barter and will not teach professions, but will treat any ailment.

Prospectors:
Recruited same way as homesteaders.
Talk to them:

I need some gold/uranium.
Ok, but I'll need a super sledge. (Give him super sledge.) Ok, come back in a day or so.

I need some high quality iron ore/minerals.
Ok, but I'll need a sledge. (Give him sledge.) Ok, come back in a day or so.

I need some iron ore/minerals.
Ok, come back in a day or so.

You will not get the sledge/super sledge back.

That's so true

I wonder why in old bunker base can't go to lower levels, so i download mapper and try to make maps for that's base.
I was thinking "it's don't be that hard to create a few maps" and week later:

That's only ONE level(have 2 or 3 in plans before started) and I am tired and exhausted with create it (there's still a lot o little pieces to position on this map). Even don't touch scripts yet
