Anyone who wants this would change their mind very quickly when they see what people like me would do with them.

Having frag mines as rare locker loot is enough. They're usable in small numbers, but rare enough to prevent trolling with them ( too much ). I wouldn't object to bear traps being the same way, but no way should they be craftable.

Not at all. I just don't see any valid use for the traps . Maybe it'd make sens for TC to lay minefields? I know next to nothing about TC so I don't know. But if not for TC  then what for?
To make the Gecko mine a deathtrap?
Lay traps and wait for players in encounters?
It's called Trap skills + high PE so you can detect and disarm them

There is a reason why they can't be crafted. I can already imagine some of you posting whine threads after you enter the town and spawn on land mines. That's it.
