updater problems?
« on: March 01, 2014, 04:49:58 pm »
when I run the updater2.exe, datafiles.cfg looses mod data.
I can edit the file and re-enter (data\fallcraft.zip) and all is good.
run the updater and it goes back to default.
is it just my "google machine", or are other folks seeing the same problem.
thanks

I was thinking that maybe as a work around to change the datafiles.cfg to read only until the problem was solved.

its not my computer.
my lappy has the same problem.
when I got home, after I made the datafiles.cfg file read only, and tried to update, the update, it was not successful.
I cleared the read only and the update was successful.
but the mods are gone in datafiles.cfg .
not a big bitch.
just a info thing.

Put your mods into DataFiles2238.cfg, it doesn't get overwritten by updater so it should work well.

Thank you, it does work! I've added this info to my guide.
