Know any good post-apocalypse themed movies?

Here are some I've seen so far ...

Great
Mad Max 2
Le Dernier Combat
Kaze no tani no Naushika
Delicatessen

Good
Mad Max 1
Mad Max 3
Postman
Waterworld
Escape from NY
A Boy and his Dog
Blood of Heroes / The Juggers

Good after a couple beer
Gunhed
Tank Girl
Book of Eli
Six String Samurai
Hardware Mark 13
Radioactive Dreams
Fist of the North Star

Still bad even after several beer
Doomsday
Reign of Fire
Omega Doom
28 Days Later
Escape from LA
Children of Men
Mutant Chronicles
Resident Evil: Extinction

Neon City.
Dunno where it belongs.
Also, as you mention Nausicää, watch Desert Punk.

+1 Desert Punk is awesome.

The Road book and movie are both great.
Stalker movie is quite nice too, if you don't fear to be bored.

Loved the book version of The Road.
I have no desire to watch the movie for some reason though.

Stalker is a good movie, but I'm not sure if I'd call it post-apocalyptic.

Well, you should not add you opinion in this list or name topic accordingly.

Book of Eli is one of my fav movies (not TOP10 though), and grows stronger in my heart each time I watch it. Postman is... just bad bad bad when it comes to plot, and  there is no The Road in your list!

Be sure to check Cyborg (JCVD movie from early 80'ties).

EDIT: Children of Men is not post-apo movie. Its rather Sci-Fi based in near future.

Postman is... just bad bad bad

Ha, talk about opinions. :D

I agree that it's not good, but it's not terrible either. I enjoyed it for the most part.
Costner is just very bad at getting the pacing right, so his movies tend to feel a little tedious.

Can't argue about taste though, I guess.
