The Crimson Dawn Company - Recruiting
« on: May 08, 2017, 11:28:52 pm »
The Crimson Dawn are a Brotherhood, and our goal is simple: Acquiring a variety of technology, be it weaponry, medicine, or armor and using it to create a better world for the people of the Wasteland. To help those who need helping, and destroy those who need destroying... Betrayal of any kind is not tolerable within our ranks, and the sentence will be execution, or exile from our ranks.

Our Chain of Command is as follows:

Elder - The "General" of the forces of the Crimson Dawn. The Elder gives orders to his or her direct subordinates, and not to those below them. - The Elder's direct subordinates then carry out their orders with their direct subordinates. While the Chain That Binds states that an Elder may absolutely never give an order to a subordinate under the command of someone such as a Paladin, or Head Scribe, The Crimson Dawn threw out this part of the code, however... If an Elder gives an order to someone such as an Initiate without notifying their commanding officer, and that Initiate is put in harms way, and suffers injuries or death, that Elder can be demoted, or exiled.

Sentinel - is the highest Honor to be achieved in the Crimson Dawn. But unlike the Brotherhood of Steel, the Sentinel serves the Elder as a second-in-command. - The Sentinel must also obey the part of the Chain That Binds stated above.

The Head Paladin - is responsible for dealing with the Paladins in the same way the Knight Commander does, but the Head Paladin chooses which Paladins should lead each knight squad and which areas may prove to be suitable HQ's. The Head Paladin holds meetings with the Elder, Head Scribe, Knight Commander, and Sentinel. Both the Knight Commander and Head Paladin report to the Elder and Sentinel, no one else.

Senior Paladins - are Paladins which show promise to become Head Paladins, or Sentinels. They are very well respected among other Paladins and Knights of the Crimson Dawn.

Paladins - are likened to the Scribes of the Crimson Dawn as being on the same level, but with a different purpose. They are the protectors of the Crimson Dawn, fighting and protecting its interests across the wasteland, Paladins are also often given command over a squad.

Knight Commanders - are also often given command over a squad of lower ranking Knights, or Aspirants. Knight Commanders are also in charge of allocating missions for Knights. Both Paladins, and Knight Commanders can have Aspirants put under their command to go through training to become a superior ranking officer within the Crimson Dawn. Or to become a Knight, or Scribe.

Knight Captains - are chosen from only the best and most worthy of Knights by the Knight Commander. They often hold staff-like jobs within the Crimson Dawn. They are also charged with training Initiates in the field, and select from the most worthy of Initiates those who deserve a promotion to Squire.

Senior Knights - are Knights which show promise to move up to be Paladins, Knight Commanders or Knight Captains.

Knights - are responsible for manufacturing and repairing the weapons and other pieces of technology. After plenty of service and experience, the best and most worthy Knights are promoted to Paladins by the Elder. Knights also act as basic field units, often put under the command of Knight Commanders, and Paladins.

The rank of Aspirant - denotes an Initiate who has entered training under a superior officer - such as a Paladin or Knight Commander - in order to be promoted to a full-fledged Knight, or Scribe.

Squire - is simply a rank above Initiate, and shows an Initiate who is making progress in the field, and is gaining trust with his or her fellow troops.

Senior Initiates - are Initiates who have completed basic training and move on to more advanced training.

The Initiate - is the lowest rank of the Crimson Dawn, generally held by new recruits in training, or those who have not yet proven their loyalty and worth.

The Head Scribe - is the highest ranking civilian class of the Crimson Dawn. The Head Scribe is responsible for choosing which Scribes work on which project and which scribes should be assigned to each order. The Head Scribe reports only to the Elder, and Sentinel.

The High Scribes - are the proctors of the Orders. There are four High Scribes: one of The Blade, The Shield, The Cross, and The Crow. They oversee and approve of each project that the scribes in their order are working on and assign the proper scribes to the right projects.
Each high scribe must report to the head scribe on each project and to get approval to move ahead with a new project. The high scribes often work on their own projects, which are usually completed very quickly because the high scribes can prioritize them and assign senior scribes to them. In some cases, high scribes have been called to meetings with the Elder's Council.

Scribes - are tasked with creating and keeping records of the technology, weapons, and armor used by the Crimson Dawn. The majority of Scribes focus their studies and work on subjects related to the acquisition, repair, or creation of technology.

Slave Keepers - tend to our Slaves, making sure they are fed properly, and that they are able to do their duties. Slave Keepers are also responsible for teaching Slaves how to do what they are told to do.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the CDC, we follow an old Brotherhood of Steel code known as the Chain That Binds. It's simple:

"1. Orders are to flow from on high down through the ranks. An order from a superior must always be obeyed, that their wisdom may be carried out without hesitation.

2. Orders are to observe the flow and not skip ranks. A superior may only give orders to his direct subordinates, and not to those beneath them. In this way harmony of intent and cohesion of thought is maintained. "

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Orders of the Crimson Dawn:

The Order of The Blade - The Order of Scribes and Knights that researches, collects, repairs, creates, and destroys all kinds of weaponry.
The Order of The Shield - The Order of Scribes and Knights that researches, collects, repairs, creates, and destroys all kinds of armor.
The Order of The Cross - The Order of Scribes and Knights that researches, collects, repairs, creates, and practices all fields of medicine.
The Order of The Crow - The Order of Scribes and Knights that are charged with going out into the wastes and gathering resources for the other Orders of the Crimson Dawn.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the Crimson Dawn Company are not an army of mindless murderers but we will not hesitate to eliminate those who are a threat to us. Or those who deliberately stand in the way of our goal.
Our Military structure is a basic form of the Brotherhood of Steel's ranks, but unlike them, I take the Chain That Binds quite seriously. Should any lower ranking soldiers disobey their commanding officer, they will be punished.

If you require more information, or if you'd like to join the CDC, spend me a PM on Discord or find me in-game. (Discord: Ellie Lane#8109)

We are the Crimson Dawn! We are the crimson light that will purify the Wasteland, to re-create a world of Order!

With such an extensive chain of command and SO many ranks, are you planning on having 200 members or something?

It was called "The Forged". And yes, it did fail. But the CDC have been thriving ever since we started.
