12 ap vs 11 ap
« on: September 04, 2016, 07:54:55 pm »
Considering rerolling.

I play energy weps char cross with big guns just for the sake of using other weps when no gats available. Something that occured to me was that I could swap 1 action boy for the final lifegiver leaving me with near 300hp and 11 ap. I noticed I could lug around a gatling laser and lsw and still 2x burst in turn based (so not such a lost) but what I am curious about is if the loss of 1ap in real time is a big deal? Do you regen the 1ap quick enough that you can two burst without a significant loss of time?

No jet comments plz, I have a stockpile of +1ap weapons too that would circumvent the whole issue but I just wanted to know if anyone has gone for the 11 route and if it works alright.

Thanks

For RT you almost won't notice so long as you are standing still for a split second and double burst.

It take about 5.3 seconds to regain entire AP bar. no matter if it is 8,10,12,16 AP so more you have faster you regain it in RT. you need to do the math yourself tho :/

I must have sneezed and lost over a second :).  Seki is probably right about math so OP better listen to what he say

Here's a quick chart.

Also, does anyone know whether the delay between after making an action and when your AP starts to regenerate again is fixed? Or rather having more AP (and in turn faster AP regen) lets you 'start' gaining AP again faster because you can hit that 1 AP threshold faster?

Example, at 11 AP you gain 2.750 AP/sec, so you have to wait at least 0.36 sec after the action's animation before it registers you gaining at least one AP? At 12 AP it's 3 AP/sec, so that cuts down the wait to 0.33 sec?

There's a small break before the AP start to rise again: 1,2 seconds (the Breaktime)

4+1.2=5.2 sec which is close to Awgy's results

So the difference is a bit lower
